THIS WEEK I'M LOVING...#2

Sensationail Starter Kit // It was only in my last post where I said I would like my own gel nail kit and the lovely people at Sparkle PR must of heard my calling. They kindly gifted me with my very own Sensationail starter kit. Look out for a review soon.

Instagram // I have posted a lot over their recently and it's one of my favourite social media apps. Come and give me a cheeky follow emgraceblog.

Tangle Teezer // My hair is in need of a good cut and is getting tangled easily but luckily I have my Tangle Teezer to hand as this helps get rid of those unwanted knots.

Skinny Dip Ice cream Phone Case // I've wanted a Skinny Dip phone case for a while now and finally got round to purchasing this cute ice cream one from Top Shop.

Watermelon // One of my favourite fruits! I have probably eaten my body weight in watermelon this week!

What have you been loving this week?

Em's Tips | How To Make Your Lipstick Last Longer

image from google

In honour of #NationalLipstickDay, I thought I would share with you some of my top tips for helping your lipstick to last longer!

1. Prep your lips before application - buff away dead skin cells using a gentle lip scrub (I like the Lush sugar scrubs) or very gently with a clean toothbrush. By exfoliating the surface it will help give lips something to cling on to and will stop any dry patches showing through.

2. Use a lip liner in a similar shade to your lippie to cover your lips entirely. Start with the outline and then fill them in all over. This will give your lipstick a good base and also add long-lasting colour underneath it if it starts to wear off.

3. Apply, blot and re-apply. A two layer process will ensure you get the best coverage and also aid lasting power. Apply a coat of lipstick, blot with a tissue and then re-apply another coat on top.

4. Try Lipcote - a seriously retro product, but Lipcote helps to seal in your lipstick, making it last for hours and hours. It can be very drying , so make sure you top up with a bit of balm on top

5. Use matte finish or satin lipsticks. These will last a lot longer than those with glossy or lighter textures.

If all else fails, make sure you've got a compact mirror and your lippie in your handbag for a top up!

I hope you found these tips useful!

What's In My Shower?

Now this isn't everything as I have a drawer full of products but it's what I am currently using and a few of my firm favourites.

I love a good body scrub and the Soap & Glory Scrub Of Your Life doesn't disappoint. Not only does it smell lovely, it's great at getting rid of any dry skin.

I regularly switch between shampoos and conditioners, but at the moment, I’m pretty happy with the Aussie Miracle Moist duo. Not only do they smell absolutely amazing, but together they definitely add moisture to my hair and helps get rid of those pesky dry ends.

Again, I am always switching up my shower gels but the one I'm currently using is the new Imperial Leather, Moisturising Coconut and Tiare Flower shower cream. I love coconut scents in the summer time and this one smells so nice.

If i'm honest, I'm not too fussy about which face wash to use but the one I'm currently using is the Simple Kind To Skin Vital Vitamin Foaming Cleanser. I have to save, it's a lovely product. I like the fact it's foaming which means you don't have to use an awful lot plus it feels really nice and soft when applied to the skin.

The Vitamin E Gentle Oatmeal Exfoliator is my current go to scrub for when my skin is feeling congested as it gently exfoliates, removing oil, dirt and dull skin cells that can lead to blackheads and blemishes.

One thing I really dislike is dry skin on feet, to be honest, I dislike feet altogether. So to help keep dry skin at bay I bought the Scholl Velvet Smooth with Diamond Crystals Hard Skin Remover. It's basically a little battery operated file that whizzes round and buffs off the hard dead skin!

I have been using Venus razors for ages. The current handle I have is the Venus Swirl but the moisturising blade is the Spa Breeze, yer I like to switch them up. I find it so much easier and quicker to use a razor which already has the shaving gel built in. Saves so much time and mess and you're left with beautifully soft legs.

I also have a pair of exfoliating gloves from Primark and a shower puff thing but they are looking a bit worse for wear so I didn't include them!

I hope you enjoyed this little nosey inside of my bathroom, and maybe got some ideas of new products. What are your favourite items to use in the shower?

This Week I'm Loving...#1

This Week I'm Loving, Benefit Rockateur, Sunshine, Garnier Cleansing Lotion, Pink Lemonade, Givency Live Irresistible
I thought I would add a new series to my blog and post every week, mainly on a Sunday, a weekly round up on the things I've been loving for the past week!

Sunshine // Finally, England has had some sunshine! Yes that big ball of fire in the sky does exist. It's amazing how a bit of sunshine can instantly make everything seem so much better.

Pink Lemonade // I have probably been drinking a little too much of this lately. I find it such a summery drink, especially with lots of ice and a colourful straw.

Garnier Fresh Cleansing Lotion // I love using this to remove my makeup. It's great at removing all makeup, including waterproof mascara. It also leaves my skin feeling super smooth afterwards.

Benefit Rockateur Blush // This has been my go to blush this week. It's a lovely rose gold blush which gives the cheeks such a lovely flush of colour. It's also got a bit of shimmer in it too, which adds a lovely highlight.

White Gel Nails // I love how white nails look especially against a tan. I have white nail varnish but I love how shiny gel nails look. I'm tempted to purchase a gel kit just so I can have lovely glossy white nails for Summer.

Givenchy Live Irresistible // I bought this perfume back in September last year (when I went to Florida). It smells amazing and is such a lovely summery scent. It also reminds me of my holiday to Disney!

What have you been loving this week?

Reminiscing of my holiday back in June. I went to Greece and had the most amazing holiday. It was crazy hot, I ate too much, drank too much but had an amazing time with my fiance and friends! If you haven't been to Greece before I would definitely recommend it!

This Halloumi salad is just one of the salads I had whilst away and it was so good! My addiction for Halloumi cheese has started! I even made my fiance buy some for the BBQ we had yesterday!

I finally bought a new car. It has been a long time coming but decided to take the plunge and bought a new Vauxhall Corsa. I previously had a older Corsa which I had since I passed my test back in 2008, so it was about time I had a little upgrade.

I'm done adulting, let's be mermaids. This couldn't be more true haha.

So far July has been filled with birthdays, including mine, BBQs, days out and sunshine (finally). I have a week off in a couple of days, which I can't wait for which will hopefully consist of beach days if the weather lasts!

BBQ time selfie! The first BBQ of the year was for my father-in-law's birthday. BBQs are one of the reasons I love the Summer time and we've finally had some good weather to actually get the barbecue out.

I am loving having a natural tan at the moment. Doesn't it just make you feel much better about yourself and I feel clothes just look better? Am I right?!

#HotDogLegs. The typical holiday pose.

I'm trying to be a bit more positive on how I look on life and I'm starting with Monday's. Now everyone seems to hates Mondays, but I now see it as the start of a new week. A chance to try something new, forget about last dramas week and focus on moving forward!
