My Lottie London Prizes

Lottie London are a company that has recently launched this month. They have a wide variety of products including nail varnishes, temporary tattoos, makeup brushes (which I am most excited about) and even hair ties! The products themselves are all very cute from their pastel coloured brushes to their black and white stripped packaging. Also I love the font they have used, just like myself they put a heart onto of the letter 'i' for a dot...simple things hey!
DARE Magazine were running a simple retweet and follow competition on twitter to win a bundle of Lottie London goodies. I was already following both companies, so I retweeted the tweet and forgot about it. It wasn't until a week or so ago, I received a tweet from DARE Magazine saying I had won! I was very excited when these goodies turned up and I wanted to share with you what I received,

Brushes | I received four of their amazing looking brushes. I was very excited about these as I am a sucker for new makeup brushes and I just love the pastel colours.
The purple brush is their Kabuki Babe Brush which has a chunky handle which feels like it would be perfect for applying powder for a flawless finish.
Next is their light blue brush which is called a Powder Power Brush, again another great brush to apply powder with but I feel this one is a little less dense to give you more of a lighter finish.
The mint coloured brush is their Flawless Base Brush which is ideal for foundation and for possibly blending out concealer.
And the last brush is the coral coloured brush which is called All Eyes On You Shadow Brush which will be perfect for packing on eye shadow and would work with creme of powder pigments.

Nails | I received two of their pretty coloured nail varnishes. A gorgeous cornflower blue which is called As If, (which just reminds me of clueless) and a lovely soft pale yellow called Day Dreamer.
Along with the nail varnishes, I have also got three of the nail files called Files On The Fly which can be used on real or false nails.

Mirror | I love compact mirrors, sounds very vain doesn't it! But there has been plenty of times when someone has said 'do you have a mirror on you' or you end up with something in your eye. This is the ME ME ME Mirror. It has two sides - one side is a normal mirror and the others is an extra zoom magnified mirror!

Tattoos | I have seen this appearing all over twitter and blogs recently and I've really liked the look of them. I haven't got any 'real' tattoos myself (and I don't plan to get any) so these are perfect to play around with and know they are only temporary. These are the Treasure Tats and I think these would look amazing at a festival or even just in the Summer time. I like the fact that they are gold, silver and bronze as it makes them look a bit more fun and interesting rather than the usual black temp tats.

I am really happy with everything I received and I would definitely recommend you checking out London London. And after taking a look at the rest of the products they have on offer, I have decided that I would like to own all of their makeup brushes along with their beauty blending sponge too!
I will be doing individual reviews on all the products above, so keep your eyes peeled for them in the near future.

Lottie London products are available to buy from Superdrug and range from £3.49 - £19.99.

Have your tired anything from Lottie London?

Yves Rocher | Serum Vegetal Wrinkles & Firmness Night And Day Creams*

Now I know what your thinking, a post about wrinkle creams but you're only 24! So technically I haven't got any wrinkles yet, but I believe prevention is better than cure so why not start now.
So when I was contacted by a PR company asking if I wanted to try a latest innovation from Yves Rocher to help deal/prevent wrinkles, I thought why not.

Yves Rocher is France's no. 1 selling make-up and skincare brand, sold in 88 countries worldwide and used by 30 million women everyday. The brand is really unique, with a focus on home-grown botanical properties that are put to use in their affordable, all-natural beauty products. Botanical beauty is the future of beauty.

Both of these face creams contain an ingredient called Serum Vegetal. This is the star ingredient in both of these exclusive new facial serums. It is the super powerful mesembryanthemum crystallinum - otherwise known as the crystalline ice, or life plant! It's perfectly absorbed by the skin which has incredible botanical properties which stimulates the skin's protein, which then reactivates the cellular mechanisms that fight those bad boy wrinkles.

I was very kindly sent the Yves Rocher Serum Vegetal Wrinkles & Firmness Night And Day Creams* to try. They are both 50ml which is a very generous amount due to only needing a little bit each time - a little goes a long way.
Both of these creams feel very creamy and light to the touch. They have a slight light fresh scent which is quite pleasant and they also sunk into the skin pretty quickly but still left my skin feeling soft and well moisturised.
I noticed with the day cream, that my skin felt hydrated throughout the day and it was an excellent base for makeup. I even wore it on days when I didn't wear makeup and noticed that my skin was glowing and appeared firmer.
With the night cream, it was a little bit thicker but I liked that. I quite like a thick night cream as I know it's doing it's job over night. Just like this one did, I applied a nice layer on my face before bed and I woke up with lovely soft skin that felt smooth and nourished.

I can't comment on the wrinkle side of things as like I said before, they are none existence but as for making my skin firmer, I did notice a difference. I felt my skin felt looked and felt more plumped and even the overall condition of my skin i.e acne blemishes, scarring had been reduced!

Yves Rocher Serum Vegetal Wrinkles & Firmness Night And Day Creams - £28* each. Yves Rocher are currently doing buy one get one free, so technically it's only £28 for the set!

Angelica Nail Colour | Scented Pastels*

L-R - Blueberry | Peppermint | Mango | Strawberry

Angelica Nail Colour was founded in 2011 and are a company that create quality nail polishes which are available throughout the UK and Europe in the majority of Primark and Penney's stores, as well as online.
Sadly my local Primark isn't one of them, so I was extremely happy when Angelica contacted me asking if I would like to review their new scented pastel collection. I was kindly sent four shades and they are all gorgeous.

Blueberry* is a lovely soft pale blue which would look perfect with a tan and has a lovely sweet scent to it. Peppermint* lives up to it's name. It's a gorgeous mint shade and smells just like peppermint. Mango* is a lovely peachy shade and it does have a slight mango scent. Strawberry* is one of my favourite shades as I am a sucker for pink. It has a lovely sweet strawberry scent which is actually really nice.

I have to be honest though, the whole scented nail varnish thing doesn't really bother me because as soon as you wash your hands, the scent has disappeared. But what I do like is the shades in this collection and I think they are all perfect for the S/S15.

Angelica Scented Pastel collection cost £2.75 each.

Beauty Haul | Zoella Beauty, Soap And Glory, Real Techniques Bold Metals & Urban Decay PLUS Mini Reviews

This post basically consists of products I have heard many rave reviews about and are products that have been on my wishlist for a while! I finally decided to take the plunge and purchase them and I can finally tick them off my wishlist. I have used these products for a good couple of weeks so this post will also include mini reviews!

Zoella Beauty Soak Opera - £5 | When I heard Zoella was creating a beauty product line, I wasn't too hyped up about it. But when I saw her products were being sold in my local Superdrug I decided to try a few. The Soak Opera is a really nice bubble bath. The scent is very fresh but has a sweetness to it too which I love. It also creates lots of lovely fluffy bubbles which I really like.

Zoella Beauty Fizz Bar - £5 | This paired with the Soak Opera is like the perfect combination for the perfect bath. You get eight little squares but I use two at a time as I feel it makes it more luxurious. Again, like the Soak Opera is smells lovely and fresh, perfect match for relaxation. But when used on there own, the make the bath water lovely and creamy and makes your skin feeling super soft.

Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer - £10 | I really like the cute packaging of this concealer. It comes with two different shades - one for under eyes and one for blemishes. It also has a little sponge and setting powder in there too along with a mirror which makes it perfect for touching up on the go. As for concealing, each side does a good job and I really do like it. I do find that I do need to use the powder to set it otherwise it does crease straight away.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer - £17 | I have never tried such a creamy concealer. It has a weird but effective applicator. It's like a normal sponge applicator but either side of it is flat and it has enough product on either side to apply to both of your under eyes. I would say the coverage is medium but can be buildable. I got a shade slightly lighter than my skin tone and it's perfect for brightening my under eye circles but still conceals them at the same time.

Real Techniques Bold Metals Flat Contour Brush - £22 | I love trying out new makeup brushes and RT brushes are definitely my favourite. So when I heard they were releasing a new collection I was very excited. Slightly stunned by the prices of their Bold Metal collection, I only purchased one; The Flat Contour Brush. Price aside, this is such a lovely brush to use to apply bronzer when I want to contour but it's also great at apply highlighter to the top of my cheekbones! The bristles are super soft too which feel lovely on the skin.

If you would like a full review on either of these products then leave me a comment below :)

What have you bought recently?

Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 Eyeshadow Palette*

Makeup Revolution are a brand that is everywhere at the moment and it's also a brand I have only tried once before. So when I was asked if I wanted to become a beauty product tester, I jumped at the chance as I really wanted to try more of the Makeup Revolution products!
I was kindly sent the Iconic Pro 1 Eyeshadow Palette*. Quite a few bloggers have said this is a dupe for the Lorac Pro palette but as I have never tried that palette, I can't comment. Although looking at pictures, they do look very similar.

The packaging is matte black which looks very sleek and it has a decent sized mirror, which is great for when your on the go. It also comes with a double ended eye shadow brush which I was quite excited about. It's their new 'PRO 1989 Double-ended Eyeshadow Brush' which you can only get with the Iconic Pro palettes. As the name suggests it's doubled ended, one end is flat which is great for packing on the eye shadow and the other is round and fluffy which is perfect for blending.

Onto the eye shadows. You get 16 gorgeous eye shadows with the top row being matte and the bottom are shimmery. The pigmentation of these shadows are amazing and they also feel lovely and creamy to the touch. When applied to the lid there is minimal fallout, they blend ever so easily and are the shades are buildable too. This is such a great palette to create a range of stunning looks which can be worn day or night. My favourite shades are Must, Fade, Dawn, Breathe and Too Grey.
I'm now tempted to pick up the Iconic Pro 2 palette as the shades look equally as gorgeous.

Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 Eyeshadow Palette - £6.99*

Do you own the Iconic Pro 1 or Pro 2 Palette?

MUA Sweet Sheen Lip Balms

Whilst browsing my local Superdrug store I noticed that one of my favourite drugstore brands, MUA cosmetics have launched some gorgeous new products for Spring 2015. What I was drawn to the most was their new Sweet Sheen Lip Balms. I always get drawn to lip products and these pulled my right in.
MUA’s sweet sheen is a soft balm that moisturises whilst also adding a subtle shimmer of colour to your lips!
There are 6 shades in the collection, ranging from a a subtle baby pink to a gorgeous dark red. All very wearable shades.

When I first went to try these I thought the pay off was going to be quite sheer as they are classed as a tinted lipbalm but I was pleasantly surprised. The swatches below are of just one swipe but they are definitely buildable, especially the darker shades!
The texture of them feel very smooth and they applied like a dream to the lips. I would say they stayed on for approximately 1-2 hours but the darker shades stayed on for a good 2 and a half!
They also have a sweet scent to them which is quite nice but does fade as soon as it has been applied which I personally feel is a good thing.

I think these will be the perfect lip products for Spring and I can see myself reaching for these a lot. They are such a bargain at only £2 each and I think there is a shade for everyone. My favourite shades have to be Coral Reef and Cherry Bomb.

MUA Sweet Sheen Lip Balms - £2 each

What shade would you wear?

Review | Osmo Deep Moisturising Hair Repair*

Today I want to share with you my third and final review from the OSMO products I received. I have really enjoyed trying out products from the OSMO range and truly think they are great products to have in your collection. So the final review is going to be on the Deep Moisturising Hair Repair.

What They Say - "Leave in conditioning spray treatment to help nourish and strengthen damaged hair whilst protecting against further damage.
- Leave-in conditioning treatment for hair that's shiny, healthy and full of vitality
- Patchouli Oil helps to tame frizz and improve the health of the scalp
- Ylang Ylang soothes the hair for a glossy finish and easy detangling
- Panthenol Pro Vitamin B5 penetrates the hair shaft to moisturise dry and damaged hair".

I spray this into my hair when it's almost dry and then brush it through avoiding the roots. As it's a nice fine mist, it doesn't weigh down my hair or leave it feeling greasy. It's also light enough to use everyday without the worry of the product building up in your hair.
I noticed that the ends of my hair felt lovely and soft and the total look of my hair looked shiny and healthy.
This is definitely a staple product in my current hair care routine.

Osmo Deep Moisturising Hair Repair - £6.28*

Have you tried Osmo products before?

BD Trade Secrets Makeup Range*

BD Trade Secrets are a makeup range that I normally just walk pass in my local Tescos and never stop to look at their products. I have heard many good reviews about them but never thought to try anything myself.
So when the lovely team from Beauty At Tesco asked if I wanted to pick out a few of their brand new revamped products to try, I jumped at the chance.
I decided to try their Flawless Primer, Dream Shine Highlighter and Party Whisper eye shadow quad.

Trade Secrets Eyeshadow In Party Whisper - £8.99* | This is such a lovely quad. It has the perfect shades to create a smokey pink eye look which looks really pretty on the lids. The eye shadows themselves are very pigmented and and do have shimmer, so I think they are the perfect shadows for a night out. They also blend nicely and are lovely and soft to work with.

Trade Secrets Flawless Primer - £9.99* | Oh I do love a good primer. If you get the right one they can make your skin look incredible and also help your makeup last longer. This one does just that. It has micro illuminating particles that help to brighten your skin and give it a bit of a glow. It's a smooth velvet like texture that applies like a dream to the skin. When I applied my foundation over the top, I was very impressed. My pores were less visible and I noticed my foundation stayed looking fresh all day.

Trade Secrets Dream Shine Highlighter In Lustre - £7.99* | I'm a sucker for highlighters and just can't get enough of them. This doesn't look like much in the swatch above but when it's applied on the cheekbones, it looks gorgeous. It is more of a shimmer then glitter, which is great as I hate it when a highlighter is glittery. It adds a nice sheen to the skin and I have been wearing this daily since I received it. I can't seem to find the lustre version online but I have linked you to the golden version.

BD Trade Secrets makeup range can be purchased in Tescos.

Have you tried anything from the BD Trade Secrets Makeup range before?

February Favourites

Origins Out Of Trouble 10 Minute Mask | My skin has been going crazy lately and I'm not to sure why. But this lil beaut of a face mask has helped my skin so much. I applied it once a week, but there was a week when I applied it twice as I was getting fed up of how my skin looked. It's quite a cooling face mask with a fresh herb scent. I quite like the scent and find it relaxing. I apply it all over and like it suggests, I leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off with a warm flannel. I noticed the difference straight after I used it. I would recommend this face mask to anyone with problematic skin as it has been a real skin saviour.

L'Oreal Revitalift Repair 10 Night Cream | I received this night cream in a Latest In Beauty box and it has been sitting in my drawer ever since. Half way through Feb, I ran out of my other night cream, so decided to give this one a try. It's such a lovely thick, creamy night cream which applies like a dream and soaks in straight away. My skin was left feeling lovely and smooth and when I woke up I noticed my skin felt plump and hydrated. I'm definitely going to repurchase this!

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser | This is one of those products that received a lot of hype at the time of it's release but I will admit, I wasn't to bothered by it. However, when I was browsing my local boots store I noticed that it was half price, so I decided to pick it up. It's a silicone based primer that feels like velvet on the skin. It's lightweight and I do find that it does smooth my skin and helps to keep my pores at bay.

Maybelline Anti-Age Eraser Eye Concealer | This is another product that I have seen quite a lot of recently but only purchased last month. Now I don't know about anyone else but I find it hard to find a decent under eye concealer to help conceal those dark circles. This is one of the nicest concealers I have tried recently. It's a sponge applicator in which you have to twist to get the product out. It applies lovely to the skin and blends out well. As for concealing the dark circles, I find it does the job and it's now a staple in my makeup bag.

E45 Cream | Like I said before, my skin has been going crazy lately so I tried to strip down my skincare routine and just use basic products. I decided to pick up the E45 cream as it's meant to help improve the skins overall appearance as well as combating the dryness. I now use this every morning after I have washed my face and I have definitely seen an improvement. My skin just looks and feels so much better, even my boyfriend has commented on how it looks.

What are your favourites for February?

Cocowhite | Oil Pulling For Whiter Teeth

Cocowhite are a brand that keeps appearing on Instagram - mainly on reality star accounts. Like those from Towie, Made In Chelsea and Geordie Shore. It was kind of obvious they were getting paid to advertise Cocowhite but when I saw they were UK based and affordable, I knew I had to give it a go. Plus I am on a quest for whiter teeth and I'm willing to try anything new.

Cocowhite are a UK based, 100% natural health products company that has a desire to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle. CocoWhite products originated on the back of a well known practice called Oil Pulling, to provide a 100% natural alternative to the chemical fuelled teeth whitening craze.

So I popped over to the Cocowhite website and I was shocked to see that they were completely out of stock on everything. They were obviously more popular than I first expected. Then a little box popped up saying they have limited stock every day at 1pm. So I went back on at 1pm, no luck! I continued this for a good week until about 9 days later I finally I got my hands on some!
Was it worth the wait? Find out below....

So what exactly is oil pulling? (taken from the Cocowhite website)
It involves swishing oil around the mouth and has been used for thousands of years as an Indian folk remedy. The way it works is simple. When you swish the oil around your mouth, the bacteria “get stuck” in it and dissolve in the liquid oil. Basically, you remove a large amount of the bacteria and plaque in your mouth each time you do this (sounds gross but it is effective)

The main benefit of oil pulling is to reduce the amount of harmful bacteria in the mouth. There are actually thousands of different types of bacteria in the mouth. Some of them are friendly, others are not. The bacteria in the mouth create a “biofilm” on the teeth – a thin layer that they use to adhere to the surface. This is what we know as “plaque.”

Cocowhite comes in three different flavours - Minty Fresh, Light Lemon and Vanilla Swirl. They all sounded nice to me and I couldn't choose which flavour I wanted to try. But then I noticed they sold an assorted set of sachets, where I'd get to sample them all.
You get 14 sachets (one a day) which gives you two weeks worth of whitening treatment.

So how do you use it?
First thing you will notice about the product is that it is hard. What they suggest is to warm it in your hands to help melt it. I sometimes even popped it on the radiator to help melt it quicker. I even stuck it in my bra a couple of times to warm it up haha!
Next you cut off the top and just squeeze the oil into your mouth. It is recommended to use before brushing your teeth and works better in the evening as it can continue to work over night.
Now I'm not going to lie, it tasted really odd and the texture was vile but half way the treatment I did get slightly use to it. It's suggested that you swish it around in your mouth (like you do mouthwash) for around 5-10 minutes. The first time I tried it, I only managed 5 minutes as I just couldn't stand the texture but then after a couple of days I managed 15 minutes and continued the 15 minutes for the duration of the treatment.

For the flavours, vanilla was definitely my favourite. It tasted the least like coconut oil and actually tasted like sweet vanilla. Next I would have to choose mint and then it would be lemon.
As you can see my teeth are a lot whiter and I am very impressed with the results. I didn't experience any sensitivity to my teeth which gets a big thumbs up from me and I also felt the my mouth felt fresher and healthier after using them.
Looking at the ingredients of these sachets it only consists of two things - coconut oil and flavouring. So I'm pretty sure if you didn't want to wait around until they come in stock again, you could just buy yourself some pure coconut oil and do it yourself.

Overall I am really happy with the experience but I am definitely going to buy some coconut oil and do it myself next time. I will be sure to let you know how I get on.

Cocowhite Oil Pulling Sachets - £19.99 (14 sachets)

The Book Of Everyone | Mothers Day Edition*

The lovely people at The Book Of Everyone got in contact with me last week asking if I would like to personalise my own book for my mum for Mothers Day. I was really impressed by the last book I received, which was a book I personalised for my boyfriend for Christmas (You can see that one here). I decided to say yes as I knew this would be something unique to give me my mum for mummy's day!

"The Book of Everyone is the perfect gift for someone you love. This one of a kind gift is a book full of stunning artwork, glorious personalised facts and fun statistics. The Book of Everyone can be made in minutes, customised, previewed right away, printed and dispatched to you in under one week!"
Just like before, the website was easy to navigate your way around and the instructions were clear and simple.
I decided on pink cover this time as it's nice and girlie. I entered in her date of birth and away we went. The majority of the pages are the same in each book, telling you exciting facts about the year of their birth, or events that happened on their birthday but it does have a few different pages as it's a special Mothers Day edition.

I think this is such a unique present to give someone as it has been specifically designed for them. It's also the perfect gift to give if their is someone that is hard to buy for as all the hard work has been done for you!
The Book of Everyone is a nostalgic, beautifully designed 50 page book that offers options that are affordable for all budgets from, Digital £7.50, Paperback £19.50*, Hardback £29.50 and Deluxe £49.50.

Bionsen Caring Touch Roll-On Deodorant*

I don't think I have ever talked about deodorant on my blog but lets face it - it's something we all use and all need to use. So today I am talking about a new deodorant by Bionsen. Biosnen and are a company I haven't tried or heard of before so I was interested to see what it was like.
They have a range of deodorants, aerosols and even some total body crystals (sound interesting).
I was asked to try out their new roll-on deodorant in their new scent Caring Touch.
As I only started using roll-on deodorants about a year and a half ago (I was more of a aerosol deodorant type girl because I never liked how they took forever to dry and never smelt as nice as the aerosols) I was a little bit sceptical as I already use a roll-on product which works really well.

Bionsen is a deodorant, so it doesn’t stop your body from sweating like an anti-perspirant. Sweating is a natural cooling and detoxifying process needed to keep the body healthy. Bionsen simply prevents bacteria from growing and is as effective at neutralising body odours as the leading brands.
Bionsen is aluminium and paraben free. It’s dermatologically tested and its hypoallergenic formula is perfect for even the most sensitive skin.

So what makes this product different to the rest in the Bionsen range? It has a new fragrance which smells so fresh and clean, it has added moisturising properties such as Vitamin E and like the other products it's still alcohol/aluminium and paraben free. Also they don't test on animals!

I decided to put it to the test - I wore this deodorant for different activities such as doing a dvd workout, walking the dog, riding my bike and just day to day jobs.
I can honestly say it does what it says on the tin, or tubey bottle thing in this case. Even after all those activities I was left feeling and smelling fresh.
It didn't leave my underarms feeling sticky or uncomfortable plus it dried nice and quick too!
It definitely is on par with the brand of deodorant I'm currently using and can see myself purchasing this in the future.

Bionsen Caring Touch Roll-On Deodorant is only available from Boots and launches in store 9th March and costs £2.35.
