January Favourites

NARS Tech Fashion Lipgloss Shade III | Would you believe the set of lipglosses this comes from (along with the palette also mentioned in this post) are the first products I've purchased from NARS and they certainly don't disappoint..
Shade III is such a gorgeous berry colour which I have been loving for Autumn/Winter. I've done a full review of this lip gloss and the others in the set here.

L'Oreal Mythic Oil | This is such a lovely hair product to use when your hair is damp. I apply a little bit to the ends and work the rest up my hair, avoiding the roots. You only need a small amount each time as a little goes a long way. Once dry, I'm left with lovely soft smooth, frizz free hair.

NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette | Like I said before this was one of my first NARS purchases. I really wanted to get my hands on the One Night Stand palette which came out back in 2013. I never picked it up and regretted it ever since but when I saw that this one was being released I knew I could't miss out on another amazing palette. It has one highlighting blush - Miss Liberty, three blushes - Sex Fantasy (ltd ed), Deep Throat, Final Cut (ltd ed) and one bronzing powder - Laguna. Full review coming soon.

Real Techniques Nic's Picks Cheek Brush | Even though this is described as a cheek brush. I have been loving using it to apply my foundation. I feel it's great at applying the foundation evenly with ease and doesn't soak up the product too much which means less wastage.

Ralph Lauren Pink Pony Perfume | I bought this perfume in a set (it also came with a tote bag) in the January sales. I would describe this perfume as sweet, fruity and very girlie. I would say it's probably most wearable in the Summer months as it's definitely on the sweeter side but has a lovely hint of vanilla and sandalwood.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light Cream | I received this in the Latest In Beauty The BBB Dream Box 2 and have loved using it as a day cream. It's lovely and light (like the name suggests) and leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated.
I did a little bit of research and apparently this cream is perfect for women with the visible signs of sensitive, dehydrated, normal to combination skin who want long-lasting soothing hydration. This must be why I love it so much as this sounds just like my skin.

What are your favourites for January?

MUA Haul & First Impressions

MUA are a brand I seem to turn to when I want to try a new lipstick or shade of something which isn't normally me. The reason being is they are so cheap and affordable, it won't break the bank or be a loss if I don't like it.
Saying that, I do have a few products from MUA which are amazing. Today I want to share with you some new things that I picked up. They currently have an offer on in Superdrug, if you spend £6 or more you get a free Undress Your Skin Under Eye Concealer.

Pressed Powder In Shade 1 - £1 | I needed a new face powder to throw in my makeup bag in my handbag so I can touch up throughout the day if needed. If I'm honest, my go to face powder is from MAC, so I wanted something more affordable for the time being until I can purchase my beloved MAC one again. I haven't actually used this yet so I'm intrigued to see what it's like.

Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder In Pink Shimmer - £3 | I have heard many reviews about this highlighter so I decided to finally pick it up. There were two shades available; Iridescent Gold - like the name suggests is more of a gold shimmer and Pink Shimmer - a pinky shimmery highlighter.
I went for the pink as it looked prettier when I swatched it. Such a gorgeous shade that I can't wait to use, especially in the Summer.

Lipstick In Bare 14 - £1 | I know I may be a bit late on the whole 'Kylie Jenner' lips trend (even though I didn't want to be one of those people) but I have decided I wanted to give it a go. And seeing as this lipstick was only a pound, I thought why not. It's such a lovely everyday wearable nude and looks lovely pair with the lip liner below.

Lip Liner In Caramel Nougat - £1 | Like above, I bought this lip liner to rock a nude lip. I have just recently got into using lip liners and I have to say I have noticed a difference in the application and longevity of my lipsticks. Again, this is such a lovely everyday shade and will look great with nude lipsticks.

Undress Your Skin Under Eye Concealer In Radiance - £3 | This is what I received for free. as I spent over £6. I love trying out new concealers and especially ones that claim to brighten your under eyes and banish those dark circles. After swatching the shades, I wanted to try the shade Brilliance, but I think that may have been the most popular shade as they were sold out and didn't have any out the back. So I settled with the shade Radiance. It has tiny iridescent particles

Acrylic Storage From Poundland

When I first started blogging, the most popular way to store your makeup was in the Muji acrylic storage units. If I'm honest, I wasn't too keen on that idea and wanted my makeup to be 'hidden', so that's when I bought the Hermes dressing table and nine drawer set from Ikea.
But now, after looking at many Instagram posts, reading blog posts about how bloggers store their makeup, I kind of like the look of the makeup being on show. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not going to display it all as that would just be impossible but I think it would look cute to display my most worn/everyday products.

Unfortunately I don't have a Muji store close to me and I know you can order online but I am one of these types of people that likes to see something in person before buying.
So when I was browsing Poundland this morning, my heart skipped a beat when I spotted these acrylic organisers. They had one for makeup and one for nail varnishes. I decided to pick up two of each.
Above I have shown you a couple of ways/ideas on how I'm planning to use them and think these will be perfect to display my everyday products and fave lippies.

So for a mere total of £4, I have some new ways to store my makeup. I will definitely be keeping an eye out to see if they bring out any more in the range! Also after buying these today, I am kind of tempted to do my first ever makeup/collection storage post if anyone would be interested? If yes, please leave a comment below.

How do you store your makeup? Do you use acrylic drawers?

Heidi Klein Swimwear SS15

If you are anything like me, you'll be longing for a bikini ready body, ready for those Summer holidays. I'm going away in March for a long weekend and then going to Florida in September for three weeks. Both of these occasions will require swimwear and I'm trying ever so hard to have my body ready!
So today I thought I would share with you these beautiful pieces from heidi klein. heidi klein is a London based brand which I have recently heard of and I've fallen in love with the majority of their collections.

I'm a sucker for bikinis, and it's most definitely the first thing I buy when I start my holiday clothes shopping.
As I'm sadly not blessed in the boobie department, I prefer the bandeau style bikinis as I feel they flatter my shape better.
I also like that the bikini top sizes are in bra cup sizes, I may not be blessed in the top but I do have a bit of a bootay, so I normally struggle when the bikinis are a standard size 8,10,12 etc.

When I'm in Florida, I will be heading to the water parks. I've never been to a waterpark before so I don't know what swimwear is best to wear. I'm thinking maybe a one piece so I don't risk loosing a piece of swimwear when I'm coming down the slides. These one pieces look very flattering and are designed with the perfect fit, shape and support in mind.

What type of swimwear do you prefer?

Instagram Update - #10

Instagram - emgraceblog

New Year - New Me? Yes I know that's such a cliche thing to say, but on a serious note, I really want to try and be healthy and be a better version of myself. So what better way than to buy some workout clothes. These are from Primark and are amazing. They are super comfy and stylish too.

I love my new coat which my boyfriend got me for Christmas. I have been obsessing over camel coloured coats, so was very happy when I got given this one! It is such a lovely fit and I wear it almost all the time. I love wearing it with my faux fur headband and I also got a faux fur shawl for Christmas too but I think it would look too much to wear them all together.

Hands up if you loved colouring when you were younger? *Raises hand* I think colouring and using/collecting stickers were my favourite things to do as a child. I used to love nothing more than those big jumbo colouring pads and a pack of new crayola felt tips and colouring away till my hearts content.
But now they have created a colouring book for adults. With the intricate patterns and small attention to detail, this has certain got a thumbs up from me. I will be doing a separate post on this colouring book soon.

Would you believe this is my first onesie and my first onesie selfie? It is super cosy and keeps me lovely and warm! If you would like the chance to win your very own South Beach Teddy Bear onesie like the one I am wearing, then click here.

My boyfriend cooked me this amazing dinner. Chicken with roasted pepper and onions with vegetables and runner beans in fresh garlic. Mmm it was so tasty, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. It was full of flavour but still on the healthy side too. He can definitely cook me this again!

I'm so excited for this MAC Cinderella collection, which is due to be released in March. I have my eyes on the palette, as I'm a sucker for neutrals and the lipstick, I love pink lips!

To start my morning off today I had a very yummy banana and kiwi smoothie. I love my Breville Blend Active as it's so quick and easy to use and perfect for making smoothies.
I then went on to start the Charlotte Crosby's 3 Minute Belly Blitz workout and oh my, it was so hard. But hard in a good way where I feel like it's going to work. I will keep you updated with how I get on.

Metcalfe's Skinny Topcorn (popcorn) in the flavour Sweet 'n Salt is one of my favourite snacks. There's only 115 calories in the whole bag which is even better.

Feel free to leave your Instagram usernames...

South Beach | Teddy Bear Fleece Onesie & Giveaway*

Would you believe I've never owned a onesie? Well that all changed when South Beach Official kindly sent me this super cute teddy bear one.
I would say onesies are like marmite - you either love them or hate them. I personally like them, as I get cold really easily and it takes me forever to warm up. A onesie is perfect to throw on and instantly I can feel the warmth. Paired with some fluffy socks, I'm ready for those cold nights!

"Super cute pink and silver teddy bear print coral fleece onesie. Featuring a hood with ears and zip up front. Also available in Blue."
It's a white soft fleecy material with cute pink and grey teddy bears printed all over. It has a zip at the front along with a super cute hood with two ears!
The onesie is very comfortable to wear and it does keep my so warm. With all this cold weather we have be having recently, plus the talk of snow. I think this will definitely be a staple in my pyjama wardrobe!

Overall, I am impressed with my first onesie and equally as impressed to the service I received from South Beach.

NARS Tech Fashion Lip Glosses

I've never tried NARS products before, so I was very excited to get my hands on their limited edition Tech Fashion lip glosses.
The set comes with four gorgeous mini lipglosses each a different shade. They all contain shimmer/glitter which is slightly noticeable on the lips but it looks more glossy rather than glittery. The glitter particles are very smooth which I like as there is nothing worse than feeling the chunks of glitter on your lips.
There is no detectable scent or fragrance in the glosses which is nice, although I do like the glosses where there is a bit of minty-ness to them. The finish is ultra glossy but not too wet looking. I would say the lasting power is average as they adhere well to the lips but won't last the entire day without touch ups.
"A seductive shift into a realm of cutting-edge colour. Four megawatt miniatures of lip gloss multiply future chic into polished possibilities."

NARS are known for their crazy somewhat outrageous names, so when I saw that these were just named Shade I, II, III and IIII, I felt a little disappointed. But nonetheless the colours are all gorgeous and there's a shade for all occasions.
Shade I - Described as a 'shimmering peach sorbet'. I would say this is peachy pink shade with a slight orange undertone. It is probably the easiest shade to wear out of the four as it has a semi-sheer colour coverage with a sparkly, glossy finish. I think it would look amazing paired with a pinky/nude lipstick.

Shade II - Described as a 'shimmering sheer fig'. This is a medium-dark, brown shade with a hint of pink and white shimmer. Don't let the colour brown fool you though, It is very wearable and naturally darkens my natural lip colour and add sparkle and shine.

Shade III - Described as a 'shimmering sheer raspberry'. I think this is my favourite shade out of the four. It’s a medium berry pink with cool undertones and white sparkle. It has a semi-sheer colour payoff with a bit of sparkle. It applied smoothly and when it began to fade on my lips, it left a lovely subtle raspberry tinge to my lips.

Shade IIII - Described as 'sheer ruby'. This is such a gorgeous medium red with a subtle pinky-red shimmer running through it. It’s more opaque than the others but still has a gorgeous glossy finish to it. I also love the fact this shade makes me teeth look very white which is a bonus!

NARS Tech Fashion Lip Glosses - £25

Did you manage to get your hands on the Tech Fashion Lip Glosses?

Dodger's Diary | The Day I Learnt To Swim

Mum, dad and princess (yes thats what I call Emily), took me to a new place for walkies. I had a half an hour drive in the car which was very strange. I kept slipping and sliding in the back, I couldn't get comfy. But luckily mum was there supplying me with biscuits which made the journey easier.

Now I don't usually play with birds but when this little chirpy fella kept calling and I thought Hey! Why not? Anyone who knows me knows I like to run but not realising I was running down hill, I reached the waters edge and before I could say 'splash', I was up to my nose in cold salty water - I didn't expect that!
Wahey! This was fun! Now you'd think mum, dad and the princess would be proud of my new achievement but no, not this time. It was the noise you see, all the shouting - OUCH! My poor ears. "Dodger, Dodger come back!" said one, "OMG" said another (have my suspicions this was the princess) but mum, she surprised me the most, for someone who always has a camera to hand you would think there would be at least one piccy of me dogging paddling for the family album but no all she did was throw biscuits at me! Tut!

Well it was fun at the time, who knows where the bird went, probably mums biscuit throwing put it off but it's amazing how much water can be shared by having a good shake. Good job it started to rain too as that helped to get rid of the salty water.

Love Dodger x

Review | Hairtrade Hair Extensions*

I was recently offered to review these hair extensions by a company called Hairtrade, through the Etail PR blogger network.
This was the first time I've tried hair extensions, purely because my hair is reasonably long and thick already.
I received the I&K 18" Clip In Straight Hair Extensions In Dark Blonde* which I have to say are an almost perfect colour match. Considering I have my hair highlighted and it's naturally darker underneath, I didn't think they would.
However, you can order a colour sample for a £1 to make sure you are receiving the correct shade and then the cost can then be redeemed against your next order of hair extensions.
The extensions are made out of 100% human hair, which means they can be washed, curled and straightened just like you would your own hair. They feel super soft and silky too.

"I&K human hair extensions are made in a unique way, as each set is made by hand individually, and not cut from one weft. This gives the advantage of more hair being added to each of the clip in hair extension pieces, making the hair look much thicker. Each clip in hair extension piece has been designed to fit your to your head closely, making our clip in hair extensions look as natural as your own hair."

The extensions come in twelve separate pieces - 1x8",1x7", 2x6", 6x1/2" and 2x1/2 with no clips which are test pieces. As I've never worn hair extensions before, I was a little unsure where to clip them in. I decided on clipping the bigger sections at the back of my head and the smaller pieces around the sides.
As you can see from the pictures, my hair looks a lot thicker. I think I would wear them when having my hair up as the extensions give my hair much more volume as in the bottom photo. There's not back combing, I literally scraped my hair back into a ponytail.

If you are looking for your first set of extensions or looking for something new to try, I definitely recommend checking out Hairtrade. Or if hair extensions isn't your thing, they also sell top branded haircare - Bedhead, Fudge, Paul Mitchell, electrical hair tools, fake tan and so much more!

Do you wear hair extensions?

Taking A Stroll Around Shotley Marina & OOTD

Do you have those places where you use to visit often when you were younger, and when you visit them now you have a flashback of memories?.
Well Shotley is one of those places for me. Many times I use to visit here with my family. Although theres not much to do, it's still a lovely place to visit.
It use to be a Royal Navy training establishment where my great grandad used to teach rigging to the trainee sailors.
We decided to take our 15 month old wolfhound Dodger for his first visit. It was his first car journey which lasted longer than 10 minutes. He did cry for a little bit, but mum was in the back feeding him treats and settling him down. We had to stop for a wee break (Dodger not us...) and got back in the car. All in all it took us half an hour to get there and Dodger was such a good boy.
Dodger loved being let of the lead and being able to run up and down, by the waters edge and smelling all the new smells.
He unexpectedly decided to take a dip in the water but I'll let him explain his version of events in another post.
Even though you've got the bustling Port Of Felixstowe just across the water, there was still a stillness in the air. That was until we were walking back. The weather decided to change and the wind picked up. Then the heavens opened and we got soaked. So what better way to stop and warm up, is with a hot chocolate topped with cream and marshmallows. I should of got a picture to show you but I was so excited to drink it, I forgot and drank it straight away. But after the crazy rain, it did leave a beautiful rainbow.
Coat - Next | Scarf - Primark | Jeans - Primark | Boots - Primark | Headband - Dubarry | Bag - Michael Kors

I have wanted a camel coloured coat like this for ages, so when I saw this one in a next outlet with my boyfriend I fell in love. He very kindly bought it for me as one of my Christmas presents and I haven't taken it off!

My Blogging Goals For 2015

I think the best way for myself to get back into blogging is to set myself some blogging goals. There are a few things I would like to achieve and change on my blog throughout 2015, so I'm hoping this little list will keep me on track. Fingers crossed, this time next year I will be able to tick these all off...

1. Blog often | I really want to post at least three times a week on my blog. I have lots of new exciting posts and 'feature' ideas I want to share with you.

2. Start a Youtube channel | This was one of my new years resolutions last year but I never got round to doing it. But I think I have finally plucked up the courage to make my first video! If you have any ideas of videos you'd like to see then do let me know.

3. Product Directory | I have had the product directory sitting at the top of my blog for a while now but haven't actually started it. Although it will be a little time consuming, I'm hoping it will be worth it in the end. It will be a place where you can see an a-z list of all the products I have talked about/reviewed on my blog with clickable links to take you straight to the page.

4. Interact | I love interacting with my followers but I feel like I could interact more, especially when it comes to commenting. I try and comment on the blogs I follow but what I need to get into the habit of doing is replying to the comments left on my blog.

5. Attend my first bloggers event | I would love to attend my first bloggers event this year. Fingers crossed there will be events popping up in the Suffolk area!

What are your blogging goals for 2015?

I'm Back & Update!

Hey everyone,
I hope you're all okay and had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Are we really in 2015? That's just crazy, I know everyone says it but time is just flying by!
My Christmas/New Years was a bit of a whirlwind but it was lovely nonetheless. I was spoilt rotten but ever so grateful to spend it with the ones closest to me.

I've had about a month off of blogging as I was just so busy but I now feel like I'm ready to sit down and make my blog better for myself and of course for my lovely readers too.
I have lots of exciting posts lined up that I can't wait to share with you and I'm going to try and get into a sort of routine and update regularly.

Also as part of one of my new years resolutions I've decided to bite the bullet and make a YouTube channel to run alongside my blog. It is something I have wanted to do for a while but never got round to doing it. I think it was a lack of confidence but I have finally decided, why not just do it! So I'm yet to upload my first video but watch this space as I have a few ideas in mind already.

I've also made a Facebook page to run along side of my blog which can be viewed here. I would love it if you could give it a cheeky like!
