The Body Shop | Black Musk Fragrance

I don't normally change my perfume depending on the seasons but when I sprayed this in my local Body Shop I knew that this would be my new go to Autumn scent.
Black Musk is the next perfume in the line of 'musk' scents such as White Musk and Red Musk. It's apparently the darkest and the most sensual of all the scents. Black Musk ingredients include black musk, liquorice, pear, pink pepper, bergamot, heliotrope, ylang ylang, black vanilla and patchouli.I would describe it as a lovely woody scent with a hint of sweetness thrown in, perfect for this time of year.
I normally purchase the Eau De Parfum versions of perfumes, purely because I like them to last longer. I didn't see the EDP version in the Body Shop I went too but I have to admit, the EDT version has amazing staying power and I can smell it on my clothes the next day!

Black Musk is available as an Eau De Toilette - £18 60ml, Eau De Parfum - £22 - 50ml and a perfume oil - £18 - 20ml. They can be purchased online here or in store.

Saturday 17th October saw the #SuffolkBloggerMeet which was organised by the ever so lovely Daisy. I was so happy when I found out she was organising a meet up right here in Suffolk because nothing ever happens around here in regards to blogging, especially when it comes to meet ups and events, they are always in London or places much further to travel.
The morning came and I generally felt rubbish, I had woken up with the starts of a migraine and I was gutted as I had waited ages for this meet up to arrive. I didn't let that stop me though. I dosed myself up on tablets, grabbed my bottle of water for the journey and headed to Bury St. Edmunds, where the event was being held.
The lovely Hannah from Kiziwoo previously had messaged me asking if I would like to meet before hand. I definitely said yes as this was my first event and I was feeling a tad nervous going on my own.
The event was held at LP in Bury St. Edmunds which had a lovely restaurant down stairs but we made our way up stairs to where we were greeted by a lovely room filled with stalls, a bar and lovely things for us to sample.
Daisy also greeted us, and by the way can I say how lovely it was to finally meet her in person, and she explained to us what was to happen throughout the day.

Yoohoo Mail is a UK Subscription based company which is all about stationery and cute cards/paper products. It was lovely to talk to Gemma (who is actually Daisy's mum) about the business and what made her start this box! It's nice to see a different type of subscription box instead of the normal beauty and food boxes! I'm tempted to get my hands on the November box as I love this sort of thing!
Odylique is a local skincare company which have products designed for people with sensitive skin. They had a range of skincare products and makeup. I enjoyed swatching the organic lipsticks and have my eye on number 12 - Raspberry Coulis. The Coconut Candy scrub sounds amazing too! You can also purchase little samples of certain products and I definitely think I'll do this with the Coconut Candy scrub and maybe the Toning Fruit Butter too.
Charity Candles are a candle company that sell amazing scented candles and also help out certain charities. When purchasing one of the candles, a percentage of the sale will be donated to either The Royal British Legion, The Dogs Trust, EACH or Teenage Cancer Trust. You can choose which charity when you place your order.
The candles are also amazing too. They come in a range of scents and you can even buy a cute little sample candle for only £2.50 which means you can see if you like the scent before buying the full sized jar.
Ivy-Joan was such a fun stall to look at. It had handmade cards, vintage items as well as some clothing items! I really liked the personalised baubles and cards in the frames! They would make lovely presents for people! I'm tempted to buy a letter 'E' and 'L' for myself and my fiance, along with the 'Pull Yourself Together' wash bag.
Dotted around the room there was freebies and things for us to sample. There was an amazing cake and little biscuits, hand made by a lovely blogger. The biscuits were so good! Some lovely coconut water from a brand called Life Tonics. I tried the Coconut and Mint and the Elderberry and Juniper. Both were lovely and refreshing to drink. There were also some amazing smelling candles, Hotel Chocolat chocolates and some cute marshmallow ghosts!
At the end, there was a raffle. I had previously purchased four raffle strips and was very lucky to have won two items! The first was an eyelash serum duo by the brand Rapid Shield.
Secondly I won a cut and blow dry at a salon in Bury, which I can't wait to have done because my hair seriously needs some tlc! We also got given an amazing goody bag, full of brands such as Benefit, Sunkissed, Makeup Revolution and Moyou. A big shout out to all the lovely bloggers I got to meet too - Hannah, Lucy, Gemma, Sabine, Hannah and Christie.

Thanks again to the wonderful Daisy for organising such an amazing event! When's the next one....? ;)

My Walt Disney World Engagement Story

Today I want to share with you a very exciting story. Some of you may know that back in September, myself and my now fiance took a trip to Walt Disney World Florida.
After months and months of planning (15 months to be precise), we finally boarded our plane and headed off to the most magical place on earth!
We were there for three weeks and on day two, our first day at Magic Kingdom something magical happened!
(before the proposal looking like right tourists!)
We arrived at about 8:15am as we wanted to catch the opening of the park as we have been told this was a must see! It was such a lovely way to start the day and get us in the mood for all things Disney.
We then walked into the park and down main street and my mouth literally fell to the floor when I saw the beautiful castle at the end. It was crazy to think after years of seeing this iconic castle, I was standing right in front of it. It was even more amazing in person I still can't quite believe I have seen it! First things first, we made our way into one of the shops and I purchased my Minnie Mouse ears and autograph book! These were two of the things I knew I wanted to purchase on holiday!

As we headed down, closer to the castle, we saw a photo pass cast member standing just in front of the castle next to the Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney statue and decided to have a photo taken. When he had finished taking the photos, I was just about to walk away when Liam grabbed my arm and as I turned around, he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

Of course I said yes!!
The photographer captured this moment perfectly. He captured all my emotions and these are photos that I will treasure forever!
I was literally on cloud nine for the rest of the holiday and this was literally the icing on the cake, of what was the BEST. HOLIDAY. EVER!
I can't wait to start planning and sharing my wedding ideas with you all. I have just started 'pinning' over on pinterest lots of wedding ideas, so if you would like to come follow me, I'm over at emgraceblog.

I'm Back With Some Exciting News!

I am back from the most amazing three weeks I have ever had. At the start of September, my boyfriend and I jetted off to the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World Florida. We've had this trip booked for over 15 months, so I was very excited when the 2nd of September rolled round!
Little did I know, that this trip would be more magical than I thought. My boyfriend had one very exciting plan up his sleeve. On our first day at Magic Kingdom, just outside the castle, he got down on one knee and proposed! Of course I said yes and this was just the beginning of the best. holiday. ever!
I am planning on doing a series of Disney posts and a full story on my Disney proposal as I just want to share the magic with you.
Also, after having a month or so off of blogging I decided to have a bit of a play around with my blog layout and have had a redesign. I have lots of ideas for upcoming posts and can't wait to start again.

Partylite Candles

There's nothing more I love than a sweet smelling candle burning away. I love that they can be burnt all year round as there is such an amazing range of scents to choose from. Also I think they can really make a difference to the decor of your home. The lovely people over at Partylite sent me some of their candles to review.
I have heard of Partylite before as my boyfriends mum used to work for them but I haven't actually tried any of their candles.
From what I gather Partylite is a bit like those The Body Shop and Ann Summers parties you can have at home but obviously for candles.

Fig Fatale Forbidden Fruits Glolite Candle - £22.50* | This has to be my favourite candle out of the two and is currently burning away as I type this. It's such a lovely sweet and has a lovely hint of vanilla which I love in candles. Also, how super cute is the jar in comes in? I will definitely find a use for the jar afterwards as it's just too pretty to throw away.

Cherry Blossom Jar Candle* | I can't find the exact candle online but I have found some in the Cherry Blossom range. I love how bright this candle is and I love the fact that it's pink. It definitely adds a pop of colour to my white furniture in my bedroom, especially on my dressing table.
As for the scent, it's lovely and fruity with a hint of floral goodness in there too.

Have you heard of Partylite candles before?

Instagram - emgraceblog

I have been using the Slendertone abs for about 3 weeks now and I have noticed such a difference in my abs. Along with using this I have made sure I am eating better and have been regularly exercising. Keep an eye on my blog for before and after pictures and a review of this.

I have been loving smoothies, especially ones with bananas in. This one is just a banana smoothie with a bit of greek yogurt and honey. It was delicious and I love it even more, drinking it out of this cute mason jar.

I finally placed an order on Makeup Revolution as I have heard many amazing things about their makeup. I picked up a range of their palettes, along with their new contour palette, lip liners, a concealer and a makeup fixing spray.

As I am typing this, I only have 15 days, just 15 days left until I head off to Disney World Florida. I can't believe how quickly it has come round! I'm am so excited I can't even put it into words!

About a month or so ago I was sent some perfumes from So...? which are from their new couture range. Then about a week or so ago, I was very kindly sent the other two in their collection. You can read about them here and here. I really like the So...? perfumes as they smell amazing and they have an amazing scent selection!

I was recently set a challenge by Neal & Wolf to recreate their Mermaid Waves hairstyle. They sent me three of their products to help recreate it. It's such a pretty girlie look and I really enjoyed recreating it. See how I got on here.

This has to be one of my favourite pieces of furniture in my bedroom. My gorgeous Ikea dressing table. I love that I can display my perfumes bottles and my favourite makeup products on it. Along with the products I use from day to day.

Look at how pretty these lip liners look! I recently reviewed the Makeup Revolution Lip Liners. They are so pigmented for the price and have such a lovely colour range. You can read that here.

I can't believe I won the Rock on Ruby giveaway where I got to choose three tops from their collection. I decided to go for three Disney themed tops as you probably know I am off to Disney World! I can't wait to wear these there!

Feel free to leave your Instagram usernames below...

Makeup Revolution Lip Liners

I am a big lover of lip products, actually let me rephrase that, I am a huge lover of lip products and if you were to go through my hand bag right now you'd probably find at least 5 - 10 different lip products from lip balms to lip glosses and lipsticks.
But when going through my lip products drawer I noticed I only had a handful of lip liners, I never recently used lip liners but when I do, I can tell the difference. My lips look much neater and just generally nicer all together. When making my first Makeup Revolution order (you can see what else I bought here), I thought I would try some of their lip liners.

Makeup Revolution’s first Lip Pencil with built in sharpener. Super-Soft and Intensive Formula to Line your lips or even fill in your entire lips with its creamy pigmentation.

They currently have an offer on where if you purchase all eight lip liners, you only pay for six. So you're basically getting two for free but you can also buy them individually if you think there are shades here that you may not use.
I thought the shade selections were pretty good. You get a range of different pinks, a few lighter nudey shades and also a few darker plum colours which will be amazing for the Autumn season.
These also have a built in sharpener in the lids, so you can make sure you can get a precise line on the go. Genius!

L-R - Vamp, Rebel, Cherry Red, Bold Pink, Soft Pink, Baby Pink, Nearly Naked, The One

I always like to apply a lip balm before applying any lip products as I generally feel that makes the overall application much better.
As you can tell by the swatches, the pigmentation for these is amazing and not only that, when you apply them they feel ever so creamy and smooth!
I have used The One under a nude lipstick and it looked amazing. It really helped with the application of the lipstick and also with the staying power too.
I have only worn Bold Pink and Soft Pink on their own so far but even these have lasted a good 3 - 4 hours on the lips which to me is really good staying power.
I can't wait to rock the plum shades in the Autumn time and I am pretty sure they will be making appearances on the blog in the near future!

These lip liners cost a mere £1 each and I think they are amazing. There is a shade for everyone and I think you all should have at least one of these in your makeup bags!

Have you tried the Makeup Revolution lip liners?

July Favourites

Palmers Cocoa Butter | This is one of those products which I find myself reaching for when I want to feel really smooth and luxurious. It has such a lovely scent and applies/sinks in like a dream. I smoother myself in this before I go to bed and in the morning I am left feeling silky smooth. This was also great for when I got sun burn a couple of weeks ago, you wouldn't think we actually got sunshine in the UK would you.....*looks outside window*.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Combination & Sensitive Skin | I am a big fan of the original version of this cleanser (the one in the pink bottle), so when I saw they were releasing one for combination skin, I decided to try it. If I am honest, I can't tell much of a difference between the two but nonetheless, I still love this cleanser. I apply some to a cotton wool pad and gently sweep it all over my face, every morning and evening. It gets rid of any left over dirt and makeup, leaving your skin feeling lovely and clean.

So...? NYC Perfume* | This is quite a new favourite of mine and its just squeezed its way into July! So...? NYC is part of the new range of perfumes by So...?. I am a lover of perfumes with the ingredients vanilla and cederwood and this perfume has just that. It's such a lovely sweet yet sultry perfume which I am sure many of you will love. You can read my full review here.

2True WOW! Mascara* | I recently posted about the amazing goodies I received from 2True and along with the nail varnishes (which I have completely forgot to add in my favourites!) this mascara has to be one of the most used products! First off, it has a plastic wand which is my favourite types of wands when it comes to mascaras. It separates my lashes and it adds volume to them. If I am honest, it reminds me of a famous mascara by Benefit! If you would like me to do a dupe post, just let me know in the comments below.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer | I haven't used this concealer for a couple of months now, so when I saw it on offer back at the beginning of July I decided to pick it up. I'd forgotten how much I loved this product! It's great at covering any blemishes/redness but also amazing at covering those under eye circles.

What were your favourites for July?

Neäl & Wølf | Get The Look Mermaid Waves

Neäl & Wølf are a brand that I haven't heard much about but after doing a little research I have found out that they are a professional hair care range that combines the ultimate in product excellence with the ultimate in glamour. The brand was created by Neil Capstick; having worked in the hair industry for over 20 years, he has used his extensive experience and understanding of professional salons his debut range of products.
They asked if I would like to recreate one of their looks. As I am loving braids at the moment I decided to recreate the Mermaid Waves. They sent me three products to help with the creation of this look; Sculpting Lotion*, Volumising Lotion* and Flexible Styling Hairspray*.
These products feel very luxurious and have a lovely scent to them which made my hair smell amazing!

First I washed my hair with my usual shampoo and conditioner. I then towel dried it and applied the
Sculpting Lotion*. I ran this through my hair but I made sure I avoided my roots. I then used a hairdryer to finish of drying it, which helped give it texture and hold.
The Sculpting Lotion offers a light to medium hold and allows you to style while caring for your hair. It also retains moisture and prevents sun damage with UV protection, which is perfect for the summer time!

Next I used the Volumising Lotion* and like before I applied it through my hair, avoiding the roots. This is meant to improve the body and texture while enhancing shine and manageability. It has special selected ingredients to complete the effect, which helps reduce static and adds a spectacular glossy finish.
This is a great product to use if you have slightly thinner hair but as my hair is super thick already, id didn't notice much of a difference.

Lastly I used the Flexible Styling Hairspray*. This is such an amazing hairspray. It kept the plait and waves in my hair for the duration of the evening and didn't make my hair feel crispy. Also in the morning, I was still left with a lovely wave to my hair which is a bonus.

I was surprised at how easy the braid was to recreate. It's basically a french braid but you only take a a piece of hair from the side of your parting, working your way back and down your hair. To secure the braid you can add a bit of hairspray and back comb it or you can use a clear hair elastic, which I did.
For the waves, I used my babyliss curling wand and used it to create loose waves in the rest of my hair.
I really liked how this look turned out and I can see myself having my hair like this a lot.

Tweet me at @emgraceblog if you recreate this look! I'd love to see!

I'm not going to lie, I have a slight addiction to perfumes. There's nothing better than smelling goooood. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you would know that I am a big fan of the So...? With Attitude fragrances. They have a wide range of scents in spray and perfume form at affordable prices - what's not to love? Back in June I was lucky enough to review a couple of their new fragrances (So...? Paris and So...? Rio) from their new couture line, you can view that here. Today, I have another review, talking about the other two fragrances in the couture line which now complete the collection, yey!

There are four new Couture Fragrances which are based on four major cities: London, Paris, New York and Rio.

So...? London - Modern, feminine and distinctive.

Top Notes - Grapefruit, Mandarin and Apricot.
Base Notes - Sandalwood, Vanilla and Musk.

So...? Paris - Flawlessly evokes the elegance of Parisian style.

Top Notes: Plum and Rose.
Base Notes: Vetyver and Patchouli.

So...? New York - A fresh, assertive scent, supreme for making a big city statement.

Top Notes: Grapefruit and Mandarin
Base Notes: Cedarwood and Vanilla

So...? Rio - Reflecting the vibrancy of the sun soaked city.

Top Notes: Pineapple, Mango and Melon.
Base Notes: Hibiscus, Musk and Vanilla.

I was very lucky to receive the other two new scents - So...? NYC* and So...? London*. First of all, how pretty and girlie is the packaging? I love it and it looks super cute sitting on my dressing table.
When it comes to describing scents, I am rubbish but I definitely agree with the scent descriptions above. If you love all things sweet and girlie, I would recommend So...? NYC and if you love fruity scents, So...? London is the one for you.

I can't get enough of these new perfumes from So...? With Attitude and I think you'll fall in love with them too. Next time you're in your local Boots, go and give them a good sniff. There is most certain a scent for everyone!

Price - £9.99 50ml* Available from Tesco, Boots and Superdrug.

Beauty & The Bunch | Colorsport Bunch

Beauty and the Bunch is an innovative website, selling bunches of beauty with bunches of discounts! Our brands include Natural World, Balance Active Formula, Janina Toothpaste and more. In a nutshell, Beauty and the Bunch sell bunches from various beauty brands with discounts, which is why our motto is providing luxurious beauty products with realistic prices!

They very kindly sent me one of their bunches, the Colorsport Brows and More bunch. This includes the Smokey Eyes & Perfect Brows Kit*, Rapid Lash-Gro Eyeliner* and the 24 Hour Eyeliner*.

Smokey Eyes & Perfect Brows Kit* - can take you from day to night in a moment. Get statement brows with perfectly plucked arches and eyebrows with the angled brush and contour your eyes with the matte shades to achieve those smokey eyes.
I'm a big lover of eyebrow products at the moment and I am really liking this one. I use the lightest shade in the palette to fill my brows with the angled brush supplied. It is the perfect size to take travelling or to pop in your handbag as it comes with everything you need to have amazing brows! One thing that would make it better would be to have a wax in there to set the brows.
You can also use these eye shadows to create a lovely brown smokey look.

Rapid Lash-Gro Eyeliner* - is an innovating liquid eyeliner and eyelash enhancing treatment. It helps to improve the appearance of eyelashes' length, thickness and fullness in just 4 to 8 weeks.
I can't say I noticed a difference in my eyelashes but this was a nice product to use. I did however find the brush hard to use as it is quite thin but maybe that's just me as I suck at applying eyeliner!

24 Hour Eyeliner* - defines and accentuates your eyes with long lasting colour. The unique easy-to-use precision nib creates an accurate even line without smudging.
Like I said above, I am still getting use to applying eyeliner as I am shocking at it but the brush is nice and easy to use and it's a good solid black shade. I am hoping practice makes perfect!

I definitely suggest you take a look at the website as it's great for finding and buying products you like in bulk at discount prices.

The Colorsport Bunch retails at £27.41 and can be purchased here.

Makeup Revolution Haul

Makeup Revolution are a brand that has been appearing all over social media and in the blogging world but I currently own only two products by them, both of which are eye shadow palettes. I wanted to branch out and see what else they had to offer, so I finally took the plunge and made an order. I think the free delivery and 10% off code definitely helped!

They have just released two new face palettes; Ultra Contour Palette (£8) and Ultra Base Corrector Palette (£8). I didn't pick up the corrector palette this time round but I did however, pick up the Contour palette. My summer makeup recently has consisted of bronzer and contouring, so I was super excited to see this palette. It has a lovely mix of six bronze shades with two highlighting powders. I can't wait to put it to the test!
I am obsessed with blusher so I had to get two of their gorgeous blush palettes, just look at how pretty they are! I got Sugar & Spice (£6) which has six lovely warm and cool pink blushes with two highlighters and Hot Spice (£6) which again has six gorgeous warm and bright corals and this also comes with two highlighters.

This next palette is one of the main things I really wanted to get my hands on, the Ultra Cover and Conceal Palette (£6) in light-medium. It has eight different concealer shades ranging from light to medium which will be perfect for under the eyes and on any blemishes/redness too.

Next I went a bit crazy on their lip liners (£1 each). They had an offer on where if you bought all eight you save yourself £2, so basically you are getting two free. I only own a couple of lip liners, so I thought why not. There are some gorgeous plums shades which will be perfect for the autumn time along with some lovely pinks and nudes for all year round.

You're probably thinking why did I pick up the Focus & Fix Concealer (£2) when I have just purchased that palette full of them. Well, if I'm honest, you can never have enough concealers! I wanted to see what the formula was like and whether it was light or full coverage, plus it's great to just chuck in your makeup bag for when you are on the go rather than carrying the big palette around.
Lastly I picked up the Pro Fix Makeup Fixing Spray (£5). I currently own the Urban Decay setting spray but I wanted to try something from the drugstore to see if it works the same or is similar at half the price!

I will be reviewing all these products individually, so make sure you keep an eye out for those posts in the future! I would love to know what your favourite products are from MR, so please leave any recommendations in the comments below!

Have you bought anything from Makeup Revolution recently?

The Body Shop | Oils Of Life

I have always been a fan of The Body Shop and their products, especially their body lotions. I think I have about 6 body butters sitting in my drawers waiting to be used!
But one thing I haven't really tried is their skincare range but have heard many good reviews about it. So when an email landed in my inbox asking if I would like to try out some of their new products from two of their new collections I couldn't wait. I received three products from their Spa Of The World range (a post to come on them soon) and three products from their Oils Of Life range, which is what today's post is all about.

The Oils of Life range is designed for mature skin, so you're probably thinking why am I reviewing it then. Well, the products themselves are designed to revitalise the skin and to give your skin a well needed boost.
Inside these amazing products are three very special seeds that have been sourced to bring the best skincare to us on the high street. The three key ingredients are; Rosehip seed oil from Chile, Camellia seed oil from China and Black cumin seed oil from Egypt. Each ingredient was selected as they are known for their preserving properties.

Give new life to your skin with our new collection infused with black cumin seed oil, rosehip seed oil and camellia seed oil, known for their supreme revitalising and repairing properties on skin. This daily routine has been created to intensely revitalise skin, revive radiance and visibly reduce signs of ageing.

I have had a play with all three products for the past week or so and although I can't give you a complete review as it's only been a short while, I can give you my first impressions. I use all three products together on a daily basis so I can achieve the best results.
These products do have a scent to them, which I actually like. I would describe the scent as a typical spa kind of scent, very pleasant and makes you feel quite relaxed.

Intensively Revitalising Essence Lotion - £15 for 160ml* | This unique bi-phase oil [oil + water] formula is your essential first step after cleansing to prepare and activate your skin for the next steps of the routine.
As it's a 'bi-phase oil', you need to shake the bottle to mix them together. I then pour a little amount on a cotton pad and gently sweep it all over my face. I love using cleansing lotions as I feel like it removes any dirt or makeup that my face wash didn't get. My face is left feeling clean and refreshed, ready for the next step.

Intensively Revitalising Facial Oil - £28 for 30ml* | With 99% oils of natural origin, this lightweight facial oil reduces the signs of ageing and effortlessly melts into your complexion for smoother, softer feeling skin.
As I have combination skin, I am always a bit wary of using an oil on my face but this facial oil is lovely and light. I like the style of this bottle and the pipette it comes with. This makes it so much easier to apply the correct amount without getting in an oily mess. I gently massage this into my face and it sinks in quite quickly without leaving an oily residue.

Intensively Revitalising Cream - £25 for 50ml* | Wonderfully sensorial from the moment it touches your face, this daily cream with a silky-soft texture contains skin-perfecting micro-pearls for more youthful-looking, smoother and softer feeling skin with a non-greasy finish.
This is a lovely thick cream but feels very soft to the touch. Although it's thick, it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy but instead well moisturised and a lovely base to apply my makeup. I also feel it would be a great face cream in the winter months too.

The Oils Of Life range launches online and in store from 1st September 2015.
