Miamoo Skincare Travel Kit*

miamoo skincare was created by Saira Khan who suffers with extremely dry skin. She had tried many products on the high street but nothing seemed to work. That is when she decided that she would do her own research into the products that go into skincare and the effect they had on different skin types. After her research, she came away with a self care skincare routine that would help her to restore her skin back to a healthy condition. miamoo was born.
What They Say - "miamoo is suitable for all skin types and ages.
It is 98.5 – 100% naturally derived skincare. It is free from harsh ingredients such as Parabens, Petrochemicals, Sulphates Synthetic colours/fragrance, Triethanolamine (TEA), Diethanolamine (DEA), No PEGs, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate.
Excellent for dry skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema and can be used by pregnant mothers and also on babies from birth".
L-R cheeky cream | splashy washfresh locks shampoospritz and wipe | huggy lotion | baba oil |

They kindly sent me their travel kit* to try. It came with all the six products above plus a lovely face cloth. All the products are under 30ml and came in this clear zipper bag which would be perfect to take away for a holiday or weekend.
I feel the products are slightly aimed at children/babies but they are suitable for any ages. As I don't have children of my own, I tested the products out on myself and I'm happy with the results.

STEP ONE
What They Say - "2 in 1 product that can be used on the face and body. With lemon oil to cleanse and soya bean, aloe vera, jojoba, chamomile and Vitamin E extracts to moisturise the skin, splashy wash is great for all skin types. It is gentle yet effective enough to remove daily grime. Leaves the skin fresh, clean and glowing".

The splashy wash smells lovely. The hint of Lemon is the perfect scent to wake you up in the mornings. It was a very smooth product to use which left my skin feeling amazing. It didn't froth up as much as I would of liked it too but nonetheless it was a lovely product to use.

What They Say - "3 in 1 face, body and hair wash, bursting with lavender, which gently soothes the skin, calms the senses and has natural anti bacterial properties. Aloe vera, jojoba, soya bean, rosemary, silk and vitamin E extracts moisturise the skin and hair giving outstanding results. Ideal for all the family, everyday".

The fresh locks shampoo left my hair feel squeaky clean. I really liked the hint of lavender as it was a great product to use just before bedtime, to help you relax. This is a good shampoo to use if you are looking for a product to get rid of buildup in your hair.

What They Say - "One product with 4 uses. Overflowing with limewater and minerals, this spritz cleanses, moisturises and freshens the skin. The bitter orange extract freshens, the Vitamin E moisturises whilst the complex minerals (magnesium, copper, iron and silicon) tone the skin"

I wasn't too sure how to use the spritz and wipe but after doing a little research I decided that it would make a lovely cooling spray. When we had our lovely spell of hot weather, it came very handy to spritz on my face to keep me cool and refreshed. As it contains Vitamin E, I felt like it kept my skin feeling moisturised at the same time.

STEP TWO
What They Say - "A barrier cream that can be applied to the face, hands and baby’s bottoms. The sweet almond oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, wheat protein and castor seed oil provide the deep moisturisation whilst the the zinc, beeswax and carnuba wax act as a waterproof barrier for the skin"

The cheeky cream is such a lovely thick and creamy product. Again, talking about the lovely hot weather we had, I did get a bit sunburn, whoopsies! This was the perfect product to smother my skin in. I love anything with cocoa butter and this was definitely a winner in my eyes!

What They Say - "A 3 in 1 moisturiser that works on hands, face and body. Crammed with orange flower water, sweet almond oil, marshmallow extract, wheat protein, silk and jojoba seed oil providing intensive moisturisation throughout the day. Easily absorbed into the skin leaving it silky soft to the touch"

The huggy lotion is the perfect product to keep in your hand bag. I enjoyed using this as a hand cream when on the go. It kind of reminds me of the Hand Food by Soap & Glory with the marshmallow extract and had the same sort of scent. It soaked in well and didn't leave a greasy residue.

STEP THREE
What They Say - "An oil for all your body's moisturising needs and suitable for all ages and skin types. Formulated with sweet almond , sesame seed, lavender oils and vitamin E, to nourish, moisturise, protect and heal dry skin".

The baba oil was a lovely product to use after you have stepped out of the shower. I found it best applied when your skin was slightly damp as it soaked in better. It left my skin feeling very smooth and supple.

The cloth it came with was a little bit rough on the skin. I feel it could of been a bit softer but I did find it was good at exfoliating the rough bits.
Overall I am impressed with the products I have been sent and if you are looking for products to use on your young ones or even for yourself, miamoo skincare would be a great place to start.

Warehouse | Botanical Print Dress*

The lovely people over at Warehouse sent me a lovely email asking if I would like to choose an item from their dress selection. I have to be honest I rarely shop in Warehouse so I was intrigued to see what they had to offer. After searching their website I decided on this gorgeous dress. The Botanical Print Dress* is described as a "bold printed dress which features a deep v-neck, defined waist and full skirt; finished with a v-shaped scoop back and triangular cut-out to the back".
This dress feels amazing on. It fits me in all the right places and shows enough leg and cleavage without being too much. It also has pleats and a lining which helps to give it that 'poofed' out look.
I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this dress this Summer as long as the weather is good to us! I also think this dress would look amazing with a tan. You could wear it to any occasion be it a wedding, BBQ or romantic dinner.

Have you shopped in Warehouse before?

What's In My Current Makeup Bag?

Lately I have been enjoying reading what's in my makeup bag posts. I love having a nosey and seeing what people use on a daily basis. I have to admit I do switch up what I'm using every couple or weeks or so, as I tend to buy new products or find products in my makeup drawers which I have forgotten about.
The makeup bag I'm currently using is this gorgeous baby pink Ted Baker bag which my lovely mum bought for me a couple of Christmases ago. I have been using it ever since, taking it back and forth to my boyfriend's at the weekends and on trips away and it's still going strong!
Let's take a look inside...
Real Technique Brushes | I only seem to use RT brushes at the moment as I find they are the best at applying my makeup and are super soft. I currently use the powder brush to apply my powder, the expert face brush for applying my foundation, the contour brush to apply my blush and the base shadow brush for my eye shadow.
Primark Eyelash Curlers | I think these eyelash curlers cost me around a pound or so, I can't actually remember but they are great for the price. I don't tend to use them that often but it's nice to keep them in my bag when I feel like my eyelashes are misbehaving and not doing what they should i.e being nice and curled.
Collection Volumising 10x Extra Volume Mascara | This mascara is probably one of the newest products in my makeup bag. I think it cost me a mere £3.99 but it's such a lovely mascara. It gives me long voluminous eyelashes and separates them nicely, without looking too spidery.
MAC MSF In Natural | My beloved powder. You will always find a MSF in my collection somewhere. It has to be one of the best powders I have ever tried and will continue to use it for a long while to come. It sets my makeup well and I can even use it on it's own with just a bit of concealer to give me a more natural look. As you can see this one looks like it's on it's last legs but don't panic, of course I have a brand new one waiting to be opened!
Benefit Bella Bamba Blush | This is a blush that I have recently started to fall back in love with. It has been sitting in my makeup drawer feeling unloved and unwanted but I actually dug it out a couple of weeks ago and have rekindled my love with it. It's such a lovely peachy pink with a tiny hint of shimmer to give it that 3-D effect. I recently heard that this was being discontinued? Not sure if it was just a rumour or in fact true? If someone could enlighten me that would be great!
ELF HD Undereye Setting Powder | This setting powder is amazing under the eyes. It stops the concealer from creasing and helps it to last longer. It has an instant brightening effect which helps your under eyes look brighter and fades away those unwanted dark circles.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer In Light | This concealer is a bloggers fave and it's definitely a fave with me too. It covers well under the eyes and on any blemishes, redness you may have. It's quite a thick concealer so you only need a little bit but it blends well without looking cakey.
Benefit Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer | I have been loving this primer ever since I received a sample of it a couple of months ago. I ended up buying the full sized product and used it ever since. It's such a lovely smooth primer which helps with the application of my foundation and it does what it says on the bottle, it helps keep my foundation looking flawless for longer.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation In 52 | I recently mentioned this foundation in my April Favourites about how I always tend to come back to it after trying other foundations. It is definitely my go to foundation, as I feel it gives me a lovely coverage and the applies really nicely.
Benefit Gimmie Brow In Light/Medium | I seriously cannot live without this product. It is one of my favourite products for my eyebrows. It gives me full, neat looking eyebrows in seconds! Something every eyebrow lover should have in their makeup bags! You can read my full review here.
Soap and Glory Smoulder Kohl Eyeliner | My favourite eyeliner of all time is this gorgeous one by Soap and Glory. It's such a lovely creamy consistency and it claims to be waterproof and I have to agree, it stays on my waterline and tight line for ages, without smudging.
Urban Decay Naked Palette | The ever so popular Naked palette always has a place in my makeup bag as I feel it's such a nice neutral palette, perfect for the day time but also has amazing shades for the evening.

As you may of noticed I don't have any lip products in my bag. This is purely because I change my lip colour on a daily basis (even sometimes twice a day....crazy I know) and didn't have one in my makeup bag at the time I took the photos! But incase you are wondering, today I wore MACs lipstick in Coral Bliss.

What's in your current makeup bag?

What Emily Wore | Evening Meal & Drinks

Top - New Look | Trousers - Topshop | Shoes - Primark | Bag - New Look | Watch - Michael Kors | Necklace - Rose Wholesales

Wow, my second outfit post in the past couple of weeks, that's a new record for me! Last Saturday, my boyfriend surprised me to a weekend away in Norwich for much needed relaxation and retail therapy! We enjoyed a lovely meal in an American Diner on the Saturday night and then spent Sunday shopping! Not only did he surprise me to the hotel away, he also bought me these gorgeous trousers from Topshop to wear in the evening! I had already tried these on a couple of weeks ago when shopping on my own but didn't end up purchasing them. So it's a big coincidence that he just so happened to buy them for me! I paired them with this gorgeous floaty top from New Look which I bought on the previous shopping trip, along with these lovely, but slightly uncomfortable heels from Primark and my new necklace from Rose Wholesales (You can read the review of this necklace and another here).

I love the colours of this outfit, I personally feel it screams Spring! I can definitely see myself getting a lot of wear out of these trousers as they are perfect for casual or smart wear!

Models Own Polish For Tans | Sun Hat

What They Say - "The first-ever collection designed to enhance and compliment a natural tan. Five essential summer shades chosen to highlight golden skin from sunrise to sunset. These tan-enhancing neon-pastel shades are the perfect combination of muted brights - the ultimate collection for beach babes!"

When I heard that Models Own were releasing a collection of nail varnishes to help you look tanned called Polish For Tans, I knew I had to pick one up. Who doesn't want to look naturally tanned?
There are five different shades to choose from - Flip Flop (bright green), Bikini (Yellow), Beach Bag (Peachy Orange), Shades (Coral) and Sun Hat (Bright Pink). I opted for the gorgeous bright Pink which is Sun Hat. I actually don't own a pink like this in my collection.
It was really hard to get a true colour swatch of Sun Hat. So this picture doesn't do it any justice! In person, the pink is just like a highlighter pink. It's very bright, almost fluorescent!
It's just like any other Models Own nail varnish, it needs two coats, it's quick drying and lasts well on the nails. In terms of making you look 'tanned', I would have to agree. I wouldn't go as far as saying you look like a bronzed goddess but it does give you a slight tanned glow?!

Did you pick up any of the nail varnishes from the Polish For Tans collection?

I Won | Rose Wholesale Necklaces

The lovely Charlotte from over at CharlotteElizabeth held a giveaway at the beginning of April to win a $15 gift voucher from RoseWholesales. I haven't heard of Rose Wholesales until this giveaway, so when I was luckily picked as the winner, I couldn't wait to search the website and see what they had to offer. They have an amazing range of necklaces, shoes, bags and even clothes. So after spending a good half an hour on the site, I eventually decided on these two gorgeous necklaces.

Diamond Rhinestone Layered Fluorescence Color Pendant Necklace - $5.80

This was actually one of the necklaces Charlotte had on her giveaway picture. As soon as I saw it, I instantly fell in love, it's very me. It is cream, bright pink and has lots of rhinestones, very blingy. It also feels very sturdy and good quality. I think this necklace will look gorgeous in the Spring/Summer months.
This necklace also comes in a few other colour ranges, so be sure to check them out.

Rhinestone Leaf Shaped Pendant Alloy Necklace - $6.27

I thought this necklace looked a bit different and I was drawn to the cream details. Again, like the other one it's cream and blingy but it also has these gorgeous leaf shaped dangly bits. (Such a great description, ha!)As this necklace is neutral coloured, I think it will go great with anything and will be perfect to jazz up an outfit.

What do you think of these necklaces?

April Favourites

Avène Soothing Hydrating Serum | This serum is great if you are looking for a product to help keep your skin hydrated and feeling plump. I noticed a difference in my skin after using this and any redness/acne scarring had been visibly reduced. You can read a full review of this product here.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation | I like to chop and change with my foundation as I'm always looking for one that gives me the best coverage without breaking me out. I've tried a few recently (I actually featured a Benefit one in my March favourites) but I always seem to come back to this one. The Healthy Mix Foundation gives me a great coverage, it doesn't break me out and it matches my skin perfectly.

Urban Decay Naked Palette | This palette has already appeared in my monthly favourites this year but it's back again. I have loved using this for creating an evening eye look. The shades I use the most are Sin, Sidecar, Dark Horse and Hustle. It creates a lovely neutral smokey eye and looks amazing.

Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mousse | When it comes to fake tanning, I'm really bad. I rarely tend to wear it but on Twitter and blogger, I kept seeing the fake tan brand Cocoa Brown appear and it was receiving a lot of rave reviews. Seeing as I had a few exciting nights out, I decided to buy myself a bottle and try it out and I'm so glad I did. It's such an easy tan to apply and you're left with a natural glowing tan. Full review to follow soon.

Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer | I had a sample of this product in my March favourites, but in April, I went and bought the full sized bottle. I love this stuff and have to say I am slightly preferring it to the Porefessional! It does make a difference with the application of my foundation as well as helping it to last longer.

What were you loving in April?

Ghost Eclipse Perfume

Ghost are due to release their new fragrance, Eclipse* next month and I was lucky enough to be sent a bottle.
It is described as fruity floral fragrance for women. It has top notes of bergamot, lemon, mandarin orange, black currant, peach, apple and marigold. Middle notes are lotus, freesia and rose with the base notes being amber and musk.
With the bottle being a gorgeous array of golden oranges and yellows, I would definitely describe it as a Summer perfume, perfect for wearing on those sunny Summer days but also a lovely scent to wear in the warm evenings.

Ghost Eclipse is available from Superdrug and The Perfume Shop from 7th May and nationwide from 1st July. Priced at £25 for 30ml, £34 for 50ml and £46.50 for 75ml.
