Pink Parcel | A Monthly Subscription Box For That Time Of The Month?!

Last month I discovered a new monthly subscription box which is designed for 'ladies time' 'shark week' 'riding the crimson wave' whatever you like to call it.
I think I can safely say no-one looks forward to their period but after you've read this post, there may be a small part of you that is slightly looking forward to your monthly.
Pink Parcel is a subscription service for your monthly cycle. They send you what you need, right when you need it along with a few goodies to indulge in.
The website was easy to navigate and the subscription process was very easy and simple.
I love the pink and grey packaging as these are my favourite two colours together (hence my blog theme).
It all came very discretely packaged, so there's no embarrassment when the postman delivers it.
They ask if you know your cycle dates as this helps them know to when to deliver your box, just in time for your period. (If you don't, don't worry as they will just send the box out to you anyway). You then choose your brand of tampons along with the absorbency you would prefer.
They currently supply a small selection of branded tampons but will be supplying more brands and sanitary towels in the near future.
In the cute little black velvet bag which says 'for now' you get a handful of tampons to keep in your handbag and are ready to use.
You then get two boxes with 10 tampons in each which are 'for later' and these are your supply of tampons.
And then the best part, you get 5 amazing products which are in a box labelled 'for you'.
This is the most exciting part - the goodies to help make any period that bit more comforting.

Garnier Smoothing Perfecting Primer | I have a slight obsession with primers at the moment, so was very excited when I saw this in my box. It is such a lovely primer and made my skin feel really smooth.
Witch Anti-Blemish Redness Relief Moisturiser | I use to use Witch products in my teenage years and never thought of purchasing them. So when I saw this in my box, I was excited to try it.
Doisy & Dam Maca, Vanilla & Cacao Nibs Dark Chocolate | I have to admit, I'm not the biggest fan of dark chocolate but this was actually quite tasty.
Teapigs Super Fruit Tea | I'm a big fan of tea and have just started to try fruity tea. This ones smells really nice and hopefully I'll like it.
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Black Mascara | I was surprised when I saw that I had an Elizabeth Arden mascara in my box. This product alone made my feel really happy. Can't wait to try it out.
Cafe Rouge Free Glass Of Bubbly | This is to be redeemed at Cafe Rouge when you purchase a meal! I'll be keeping this in my purse for sure!

I think I can safely say this is the perfect box for all us girlies when our ladies time arrives. I'm very impressed with the concept, the service and the products I received.

Pink Parcel is £5.95. After that, each parcel is £9.95.

What Emily Wore | 80s Fancy Dress

I love fancy dress and any excuse to dress up. So when my friend told me she was going to have a 60s, 70s and 80s themed fancy dress night for her 50th, I couldn't contain my excitement.
I decided on the 80s as I love the big hair and neon trend. I didn't have a chance to get a picture before I left as I literally had an hour to get home from work, get ready and meet everyone at my friends ready for a limo to pick us up at half 7! So luckily my friend sent me some photos so I can show you what we wore. In case you can't pick me out, I'm the blonde one with the pink tutu and pink and orange leg warmers! ;)
Top - Primark | Leggings - Primark | Tutu, Necklaces, Fishnet gloves, Leg warmers - eBay | Heels - New Look | Bag - New Look

For my hair I washed it the night before and plaited lots of little plaits and slept in it over night. I really wished I had a pair of hair crimpers as that would of looked amazing! I backcombed the top to give it a bit of height and volume and made a quiff.
You can't really see my makeup but I applied lots of mascara and slightly contoured. I also applied a bright pink lipstick.

Review | Dream Dots For Spots*

What They Say | "A Dream Dot isn’t simply a sticker — it’s a unique super absorbant cross linked hydro matrix patch. It targets spots and breakouts using no harsh ingredients yet gives dramatically powerful and effective results. With a smooth 100% waterproof satin surface that seamlessly acts as a second skin which is conformable to any contour of the face. On contact with the spot the patented gel begins to absorb and lock in the pore exudate. A moist healing environment is formed maintaining ideal PH balance, temperature control and hydration levels which leads to faster healing. The pain is reduced as nerve endings are protected and cushioned in this moist condition. It will swell and turn white overnight as it absorbs exudates giving you visible results when you remove it in the morning."
What I Say | Dare I say it, my skin has been really good to me recently. I've only had the odd one (and that was around girlie time) so when I received these Dream Dots* from a company in Ireland, I wasn't too sure when I could use them.
But alas, I obviously spoke to soon as the next day a lovely spot appeared on my chin!
So what are dream dots? Well as you can read above, they are a little patch of silicone which you place onto your spot over night for approximately 8+ hours.
The Dream Dot covers and protects the spot from any dirt and it's meant to reduce redness and size within these hours!
Now I was going to put a picture of a lush big ol' spot I have, but it actually scared me when I uploaded it, so I though it was best that I didn't upload it as I don't want to give you guys nightmares.
The dream dot was very easy to apply and I applied one to the spot at around 10pm and then took it off 7am so it had a good 9 hours to do it's job. It was very easy to remove and I was impressed with the results. I had noticed the spot had reduced in size and the redness had significantly faded.
I really like the concept of Dream Dots and they are great to have in my skincare kit, so I think I would buy these when I've run out.
Where To Buy | dreamdotsforspots
Price | €14.95 (£11.66)
Rating | 8/10

Have you tried Dream Dots?

TAG | The So...? Fragrance Tag

1. How many perfumes/body sprays etc do you own? I think I currently own 5 perfumes and two body sprays,

2. What smell brings back the happiest memories to mind? I would have to say Britney Spears - Fantasy as I wore it a lot when I was in high school/college and I have a lot of great memories of those times.
Also, I tend to a buy a new perfume at Duty Free before I go on holiday as I love it when I smell that certain perfume, it always reminds me of that holiday. Always happy memories!

3. You are only allowed to own two perfumes -one luxury fragrance and one So...? scent; which would you choose, and why? My luxury would be V&R Flowerbomb which smells amazing. The perfect girlie scent with a sophisticated side to it.
The So...? scent of choice would be So...? Kiss Me purely for nostalgic reasons and of course it smells lovely!

4. What smell do you love on a guy? I love typical manly scents. My favourite scent of which my boyfriend owns is V&R Spicebomb...yum!

5. Wearing the same fragrance as your friends, yay or nay? When I was younger it didn't seem to bother me if my friends had the same fragrance but now I'm older I like to be different.

6. What food smell would you happily wear as a perfume? Obvious scents for me would be something like strawberries and melon as I love fruity scents but I also wouldn't mind smelling like freshly made bread. Imagine that...haha!

7. If you had to wear just one type of fragrance for the rest of your life, would you prefer to smell sweet or musky? I would definitely prefer to smell sweet!

8. If you could create a So...? fragrance what would you call it and what notes would you include? It would be called something like So...? Juicy and it would include lots of fruity scents like strawberries and melon but with hints of blackcurrant and vanilla to give the perfume a bit of warmth, so it would be ideal for day or night.

9. Your friend borrows your perfume and returns it pretty much empty. Do you a) Just pretend you haven't noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs? It depends really, if it was a cheap perfume I don't think I would be bothered. But if it was one of my more expensive fragrances I think I would have to say something.

10. You’re on the bus and someone next to you sprays a scent that you really hate. Do you a) Make it really obvious by having a fake coughing fit b) Move as far away as possible c)Spray some of your own? Haha love this question...erm knowing how sensitive my nose is I would say a) but I wouldn't have to fake a coughing fit I would be having a sneezing fit.

I tag you all to do this tag in collaboration with So...? as I would love to know which fragrances you own.

So New Season With So...? Kiss Me*, So...? Sinful* & So...? Burlesque*

Recently I was sent a couple of So...? body fragrances to test out. Now I don't know about you but So...? just reminds me of my high school days. Every girl had at least one of these in the school bags or p.e kits. I certainly did! So when asked which two I'd like to try out, I already knew which ones to pick.

So...? Kiss Me* EDT £5.99 (30ml), £9.95 (50ml), Body Fragrance £1.99 (75ml)
What They Say - "Perfect for girls wanting a sugary sweet scent at a purse-friendly price; probably why it’s the best-selling So…? fragrance. One burst of its adorable notes of blackcurrant, citrus and sweet vanilla and you’ll fall head over heels".

This was my go to body spray back in my high school days which I seemed to purchase many times. I remember myself and the majority of my friends having a can of this one in particular. As So...? Kiss Me is a very light scent I think it's great for everyday wear.

So...? Sinful* EDT £5.99 (30ml), £9.95 (50ml), Body Fragrance £1.99 (75ml)
What They Say - "Tantalizing notes of pineapple, a warm floral heart of Violet, and a decadent base of dark chocolate and vanilla have made So…? Sinful a best kept secret of beauty guru’s nationwide. The luxurious, great quality fragrance is a steal at just RRP £5.99, and definitely worth a space on your dressing table".

Again, this is another body spray that I remember wearing at high school and I think I remember wearing this to a school disco in like year 7! Haha....oh the memories! This is perfect to wear in the evenings, as it's a slightly heavier spray but definitely not over powering. You can definitely smell the warm vanilla which I think is lovely as an evening scent.

So...? Burlesque* EDT £5.99 (30ml), £9.95 (50ml), Body Fragrance £1.99 (75ml)
What They Say - "With just one spritz, a sweet and fruity melody of mandarin, blackcurrant and apricot is released and begins to marry with heart notes of sultry orange flower, jasmine and rose. Base notes of warming vanilla, amber and a hint of patchouli deliver a powerful and evocative fragrance with staying power right throughout the evening.".

This is one of So...? new scents. I have to be honest, it's my least favourite of the three but nonetheless it has a lovely fragrance. Personally I feel this is a heavier scent, so again it would be suitable for evening wear.

The So...? Eau de Toilette and Body Fragrances range is available from Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Bodycare, Wilkinson, Savers and Fragrance Direct.

...Rain Coats!

1. Boohoo Eva Button Through Mac - £40 | 2. River Island Camel Mac - £85 | 3. Missguided Helanie Peach Crepe Trench Coat - £34.99 | 4. Boohoo Flow Fluid Trench - £40

Hey everyone. I hope you're all well? Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I was poorly for most of last week which sucked and I couldn't bring myself to blog. But on a brighter note, I have been offered a new job and I have taken it! I start on Monday and I'm going to hopefully try and get some blog posts scheduled for the first couple of weeks as I feel I'm going to be busy busy busy.

Today is just a quick post, sharing my current love of rain macs with you. I love the neutral colours they come in and also how chic and sophisticated they look. My fave has to be number one from Boohoo. I need to add a rain mac to my autumn wardrobe!

Do you own a rain mac?
