Barry M Cor Balmy! Balms In Rosie Lea & Currant Bun

What They Say | "Tell ya chinas, Cor Balmy! is a wicked tinted SPF15 lip balm with a rich moisturising core enriched with Vitamin E, Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter to protect and revitalise dry skin. For less than a Lady Godiva you’re avin’ a bubble!"
What I Say | I was sucked into the Maybelline Baby Lips trend last year and ended up buying them all and I have now seen that they have released a new range (but that's another story). I didn't think much of them, just a nice balm to throw in my handbag when I'm on the go. But whilst browsing my local Superdrug I noticed that Barry M have their own version of very similar lip balms, with the same sort of concept called Cor Balmy!. I bet you're all thinking, "here we go again, Emily's getting drawn into another hype!"
I swatched them all on my hand and they felt amazing. I restricted myself and only picked up two. I picked up the shades Rosie Lea which is a gorgeous pinky purple and smells like sherbet and Currant Bun which is an amazing deep berry purple and smells like Blackcurrant. Currant Bun is perfect for the Autumn season.
The other shades in the collection are Adam & Eve which is a light baby pink, Trouble & Strife which is an orangey shade and Jam Jar which is a gorgeous red.
Just like the Baby Lips, they are cutely designed with bright writing and clear packaging, which I love so you can see the product.
As you can see from the pictures, the outside of the product is the coloured balm and the core is filled with rich moisturising Vitamin E, Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter which makes them feel amazing on the lips! As for the colour payoff I am very pleasantly surprised. I thought they would be quite sheer but actually they give you just the right amount of tint to your lips.
They keep your lips feeling moisturized for a good couple of hours and even then the tint is still noticeable.
Overall I am really impressed with these and I would have to say I do prefer these to the Baby Lips.
Would I recommend you going to buy these? 100% You need at least one of these in your makeup collection :) I think I'm going to have to buy the rest of the shades!
Where To Buy | Boots, Barry M
Price | £3.49 each
Rating | 10/10

Have you tried the Barry M Cor Balmy! balms yet?

Review | Bella And Bear Eye & Mighty Eyelash Curler*

At the beginning of August I was sent a hair removal kit by Bella & Bear which I reviewed here. They recently got in contact with me asking if I would like to review their second newest product, their Eye & Mighty Eyelash Curler. I have to admit, I currently own two pairs of eyelash curlers and very rarely use them. One is sitting in my makeup bag and one in my makeup drawers. But after reading the reviews on these eyelash curlers, I decided to say yes and see what all the fuss was about.

What They Say -"The Eye & Mighty eyelash curler lifts and curls like no other eyelash tool. You will know that you have found "the one". The spring loaded handle means you get a lot more lift with less pressure, say goodbye to straight lashes and hello to sexy curvy eyelashes!"
I love eyelash curlers that are already sprung open, if that makes sense? The curlers sat nicely on top of my lashes and felt comfortable to use. They did curl my eyelashes and it did make a difference when I applied my mascara.
The only thing which is annoying is the fact they don't come with replacement rubbers like other pairs do.
Would I run out and buy these? Probably not as they are a little pricey and in my opinion, they're just like my £1 pair from Primark but they are a nice little luxury pair to have.

If you are interested in purchasing a pair, you can view them here for £12.99*.

Do you use eyelash curlers?

Garnier Ultimate Blends | Shampoo, Conditioner & The Sleek Restorer For Dry Frizzy Hair

Don't you find you always run out of the shampoo wayyy before the conditioner?! This always happens to me.
Anyways, I was in need of a new shampoo and conditioner and noticed Garnier's new range, Ultimate Blends. They have shampoos and conditioners to suit all hair types, from very dry/damaged hair to coloured hair to normal hair.
When choosing hair products, I always pick the ones that will suit my hair type as it's always changing. Sometimes I need something to brighten my hair and sometimes I need a product to help with the condition of it. I like to change it up (as well as the brand) as I have heard your hair can get use to a product if used over and over again and won't work as well as it should!
This time round, I needed something to get rid of the frizz! I decided to pick up the Shampoo, Conditioner and the 1 Minute Treatment from their Sleek Restorer range. There was also an Oil but I didn't end up picking it up, but after trying these out I think I may just get it.

The products themselves are amazing. Not only do they smell good enough to eat, they also do their job. The shampoo lathers up into a really nice lather and leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean. The conditioner is lovely and thick and works really well at conditioning my hair. But the product that I love the most is the 1 Minute Treatment. I apply it to the ends of my hair and work my way up. I avoid the scalp/roots and just concentrate on the ends. Like the product suggests, I leave it on for a minute and then I rinse.
I use the 1 Minute Treatment once a week and have noticed a difference in the condition of my hair. My hair looks and feels in much better condition and has never been as shiny!
Overall, I am really impressed with these three products and suggest you take a look at Garniers new range when you're looking for your next shampoo!

Have you tired Garniers Ultimate Blends range?

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm In Demure

As you can see from my last couple of blog posts, I am loving lip products at the moment. Whether it's a balm, lipstick or lipgloss, I need it!
Today I want to share with you another lip balm from my previous shopping goodies post. This is the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm In Demure. I recently blogged about a Revlon matte balm which you can read here but the lacquer balms are a much more creamier glossier finish.
I picked up the shade Demure, which I would describe as a pretty soft pink that is the perfect colour to wear everyday. It does have a slight shimmer to it, almost like tiny little bits of glitter which gives it that slightly more 'glossier' finish but this might not be to every ones liking as you can feel them on the lips.
The great thing about the laquer balms is that they are sheer but can be built up for a more opaque finish if you desire.
Like all of the Revlon crayon family it has the 'Triple Butter Complex' of mango, shea and coconut butters for balm-like moisture, a mild peppermint fragrance and twist-up packaging.

You can purchase Demure here for £7.99 or Boots have a current offer on for 2 Revlon products for £10.

Simply Beach White Daisy Kaftan

(Apologies for the mirror shots and the mess on the bed!)
A couple of weeks ago I entered a competition on Twitter where all you had to do was follow Simply Beach and tweet them a link to your favourite item on their website.
Simply Beach are an online company that sell amazing beachwear, swimwear, underwear and even menswear. I was already following them so next I had to find something I would like the chance of winning, this was the hard part. After searching the website, I decided on this gorgeous Field Of Dasies Kaftan in White. I've always liked kaftans/cover ups and thought this looked a bit different and would look amazing with a tan.
So when I got a tweet last week saying I had won I was very excited indeed.
"The Field Of Daisies Kaftan from Seafolly lets you show off your brand new bikini with its loose weave floral design. This cover up gives you a hint of coverage for when you are taking a walk along the beach."
This is such a gorgeous cover up. It is 100% cotton and feels very comfortable on the skin. The daisy print is too cute and will look amazing with a tan. I also think you could wear this over the top of a bandeau top and slightly tucked into denim shorts. Sadly I'm not going on holiday this year but I will save it for Florida next year!
This gorgeous kaftan is currently in the sale at £45.38 and comes in White and Lime.

What's your opinion on cover ups and kaftans?

Maxfactor Color Elixir Lip Liner In Pink Princess

Now I'm not really one to wear lip liners but when I was shopping recently I was somehow drawn to them. I was browsing the Maxfactor stand and came across their range of Color Elixir Lip Liners. I picked up this gorgeous deep coral pinky shade called Pink Princess (such a cute name may I add). After swatching it on my hand I decided to buy it and give it a whirl. When it was sitting in my basket I could see it would go perfectly with the Revlon Matte Balm In Elusive that I had also picked up.
When I got home I couldn't wait to try it out. The packaging is just like your standard makeup pencil, which will need to be sharpened once it becomes blunt. It has a clear plastic lid and the shade of the colour on the bottom which makes it really easy to pick out of your collection.
I know it sounds silly but I wasn't one hundred percent sure on how to apply lip liner. Do I just line the lips like the name suggests? Do I go slightly over or slightly in? I decided to just stick with outlining my lips and slightly filling them in.
The formula was really smooth and applied like a dream. It didn't tug at my lips or sit in the fine lines of my lips. I then applied my chosen lip product and I instantly saw a difference. My lips looked fuller and more defined and made such a difference to the end result. I also noticed that it made my lip product last that bit longer which is always a bonus.
It did take some getting use to but I can see this has started off my possible love for lip liners!

Pink Princess retails for £4.99 and can be purchased here.

Do you use lip liners?

Viktor & Rolf BonBon Perfume

Today I want to share with you my new favourite perfume. This is the gorgeous Viktor & Rolf BonBon perfume and oh my goodness it smells divine!
My lovely boyfriend bought this for me for my birthday back in July and it's one of those perfumes I have wanted ever since I saw it in Debenhams. I already have the V&R Flowerbomb which is also equally amazing.
First things first, can we just adore this bottle design for a second. It's a gorgeous reddish pink bow and looks amazing sitting on my dressing table. It has the signature V&R around the neck of the bottle and has BonBon Vicktor & Rolf engraved on the top of the lid.
As for the scent, I'm really rubbish at describing perfumes, so here is a little snippet from the Debenhams website - "From inception to completion, the caramel notes mature from a sharp, edible top note to softer and milkier in the middle then darkening to add depth to the base note. A pure delight, a haute confection".
This is a 50ml bottle and can be a little pricey but I definitely think it's a perfume to have in your collection if you like more of a sophisticated sweet perfume.

Do you own V&R Bon Bon?

Instagram - #9

Arizona Green Tea | Granola | Blueberries | Salmon Dinner | Yogurt & Fruit | Selfie | Selfie #2 | Cleaning Make Up Brushes | New Shoes | Curly Hair | Think Pink Bath | Starfish

Instagram - egtx3

When visiting one of those old fashioned sweet shops, I noticed that they had a selection of american drinks in a fridge. I have seen this Arizona Green Tea appear on many Instagram posts and decided to give it a try. I actually really liked it. It's just like iced tea but a bit sweeter. I will definitely be drinking this when I visit America next year!
The next four pictures are foodie posts. I'm on a bit of health kick at the moment and love having Granola with natural yogurt and fruit for my breakfast or just fruit and yogurt. The fish dinner was amazing. It's Salmon with vegetables and cous cous. Very tasty indeed.
You have got to have an obligatory selfie...or two on your Instagram. The first one was just a casual day time one and the second was when I went out for drinks with the girlies.
I find washing my brushes such a chore but it's a job that has to be done but it wasn't until I laid them on my bed, that I realised I owned 21 (actually 22 now).

I picked up these gorgeous tan coloured wedges for a bargain price of £7 from the New Look sale. They go perfectly with a jeans and blazer combo and are very comfortable to wear.
I'm actually trying to grow my hair but decided to curl it for once as I very rarely use heat on it. I can't believe how long it's got. I'm thinking of doing a tips post on how to grow you hair if you would be interested in reading that?
You can't go wrong with a pink bath, and a pink bath with little confetti hearts is even better. This is the Think Pink bath ballistic from Lush and it's one of my faves.
Saw this little guy at the beach yesterday when walking the dogs. I love starfish and this one was perfect. I also saw a jellyfish but didn't take a picture of it. It's amazing what you can find on the beach. There was once a washed up porpoise in the same area a few years ago.

Feel free to leave your Instagram names :)

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm In Elusive

Good afternoon you lovely people! I hope you're all well? Well look at this, me blogging ever day this week so far! I think I need a gold star!
Today I want to share with you a product I recently featured in my latest Boots goodies post as I haven't stopped wearing it since I bought it. The product i'm talking about is the Revlon Matte Balm In Elusive. I only own one other Revlon lip product which is from their Colorburst Balm Stain range in the shade Lovesick which is a lovely deep cerise pink. I wanted to add another one to their collection but saw they had a newish range of matte colours.
The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm collection comes in a variety of different shades varying from a deep purple to a lovely subtle nude. There's definitely something for everyone.

It has a twist up tube which I really like as the product wont get smooshed in the lid and the tube itself is matte with a silver ended bottom. The colour of the tube closely corresponds to the colour of the product itself, which is great for when you're routing around in your lipstick collection and need to find a certain shade quickly. After lots of swatching, I decided to pick up the shade Elusive which I saw on the lovely Liza's youtube channel.
I would describe Elusive as a blue-toned pink which is very wearable and would suit quite a few skin tones.
As it's described as a matte balm you would think it would be quite drying on the lips but it actually feels slightly moisturising which is where I guess the 'balm' bit comes into action. It also has a slight cool minty smell/feeling on the lips which I really like. Even though Elusive is described as a matte balm, it does have a slight satin finish which gives the illusion of glossy lips without being completely matte.

Do you own any of the Matte Balms from Revlon?

1. Smoothies | I'm loving a smoothie or two lately. I actually received the Breville Blend Active for my birthday which I'm excited to use and share with you my smoothie recipes.

2. Granola | I have Granola for my breakfast with either milk or natural yoghurt. It's so tasty especially when I add fresh fruit to it. I'm also going to attempt to make my own!

3. Long Hair | I'm trying to grow my hair at the moment. I would love it to be the length of the girls hair in the photo above! These loose waves look amazing too.

4.  Instagram | I can't seem to get enough of Instagram just lately. There are so many accounts i'm in love with. If you would like to follow me my username is egtx3.

The British TAG

1. How many cups of tea do you have a day? + How many sugars?
I would say at least two cups a day with 1 sugar.

2. Favourite part of your roast
I love all parts of a roast but the bit I look forward to the most, has to be the homemade roast potatoes!

3. Favourite dunking biscuit
Chocolate digestives as the warmth of the tea slightly melts the chocolate, mmmm delicious.

4. Favourite quintessentially British pastime?
Walking through/visiting the countrysides and admiring the views.

5. Favourite word
I wouldn't say it's my favourite word but I use 'literally' a lot! Oh and I also use 'like', like literally all the time! ;)

6. Cockney rhyme slang
"Apples and pears" translates to "Stairs"

7. Favourite sweet
I love the little old fashion sweet shops where they have all the different varieties of sweets in the jars. It's always hard to choose, I can't just pick one. So i'm going to pick 'pick n mix sweeties!'

8. What would your pub be called?
The Unicorn's Inn

9. No.1 British person
I do love the royals especially Kate and Wills!

10. Favourite shop / restaurant
I love classic British pubs, where inside has a open log fire, serves tasty food and has a beer garden to sit outside in the Summer.

11. What British song pops into your head?
Wannabe - Spice Girls

12. Marmite?
No thankyou!

I tag all you British folk to do this tag!

Batiste Dry Shampoo | Bright & Lively Floral Essences

If you've been a reader of my blog for a while now, you'll know how much I love Batiste Dry Shampoo. I can honestly say I go through at least a can a month because it's such an amazing product to use in between hair washes!
I had actually ran out of my many cans (shock horror) and headed straight down to Boots to pick up another can. I decided to try a different scent as I usually stick to Tropical. This bottle design instantly caught my
eye. I gave it a quick spritz and loved the floral scent that filled the hair aisle in Boots.
Floral Essences - "Get in touch with your feminine side by treating your hair to a fashion trend fave. This floral fusion refreshes hair using summer scents for hair that looks and smells gorgeous." I would agree, it smells very sweet and flowery, the perfect scent for Summer.

What They Say - "Batiste Dry Shampoo is a starch based product with an innovative ‘no water needed formula’ which banishes oily roots and boosts body giving dull lifeless hair the makeover that it needs without any water. A quick burst revitalises hair leaving it feeling clean and fresh. No need to worry about skipping a shampoo".
I'm pretty sure you all know how dry shampoo works but if you don't, you shake the can vigorously and spray it into the roots, keeping the nozzle 30cm from hair. You then massage through with your fingertips and then brush your hair and style as usual.
This is my go to product when i'm looking for something to give my hair a bit of a pick me up in between washes and it's also great at adding extra oomph and volume to your hair.

Have you tried Batiste before?

Clothing Haul From

Apologies for the shocking picture but I wanted to show you what I have recently bought from Boohoo. I had an email land in my inbox saying they had half price next day delivery so I decided to treat myself to a few things. This was the first time I have actually shopped with them and I was very impressed with the service and delivery!
The first item I picked is the Jasmin Basic Oversized Top. It's such a versatile piece and will practically go with anything. I love loose baggy tops as they are also nice to slouch around in. This was a steel at £8.
Next are two Alice Swing Vests in Charcoal and White. The charcoal is showing up quite dark on screen but in person it's quite a light grey (you can get a better idea of the colour on the website). These cost a mere £6 each and are amazing. These are perfect to wear with a pair of jeans and heels and you have your evening outfit sorted! But on the other hand they are great for everyday basics. I'm definitely going to pick these up in other colours.
I have wanted some easy wear floaty shorts for a while now, so when I saw the Nyiah Tropical Print Flippy Shorts and the Ally Lily Print Flippy Shorts  for only £10 each I couldn't say no. Again they are really easy to wear and are very comfortable. Perfect for all this sunny weather we are having.
Overall I am very impressed with my purchases and this definitely won't be the last time I buy from them! (I already have a basket full of items!)

Have you bought anything from Boohoo recently?

July Favourites

Benefit Hoola | I'm not normally a bronzer girl but with all this warm weather we have been having recently, I thought my makeup needed a bit of a bronzy glow. I really like Hoola as it doesn't give you that 'just rolled around in mud' look. It gives you a nice subtle glow and it works well as a contour.

MAC Prep + Prime | I actually got this sample from the MAC Facebook page. I used it for the first time on a night out and found it really helped with the application of my foundation and made it last all evening. I'm considering purchasing the full sized version.

Viktor & Rolf Bon Bon Perfume | I received this perfume for my birthday as I am already in love with the V&R Flowerbomb. Oh my goodness, this smells amazing. It's everything I want in a perfume. It's very sweet smelling but it has that grown up scent about it, if that makes sense. It lasts all day on the skin and the bottle is to die for.

La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water | This has been a perfect hand bag essential for this hot weather we have been having lately. I spray this on my face before I apply my makeup and keep it in my bag for when I'm feeling hot and need a little cooling down.

Benefit Moon Beam | Moon Beam is a lovely pinky-gold highlight with just the right amount of shimmer without you ending up looking like a disco ball. I apply this under my foundation, on my cheek bones to give my skin a nice glow during the day but on a night out I apply this to my cheek bones, just under my eyebrows and a dab on my cupids bow and my skin is left looking gorgeously glowy.

What were you loving in July?

Review | Bella & Bear Hair She Goes Removal Kit*

I wouldn't say I'm a hairy person, but I do have those little fair hairs on my face which never really bothered me until I started blogging because when I took up close pictures of my lips/face for blog photos they became noticeable in the pictures. So when I was asked if I wanted to try the Hair She Goes Removal Kit* I of course said yes to see if it would get rid of my face fuzz.

What They Say - "Say goodbye to fuzz and hello to a soft fuzz free face. The hair she goes kit is perfect for removing all facial hair including the dreaded moustache".
The packaging it comes in is gorgeous. I love the pastel shades along with the floral design. I'm a sucker for packaging and this ticks all the right boxes. It comes with a pair of tweezers and a facial epilator. On the back of the box it comes with instructions on how to use it and a picture which always helps.
The spring and tweezers and a gorgeous pastel coral but are showing up slightly orange on the photos.
The tweezers feel sturdy and are great at removing those stray eyebrow hairs. A girl can never have too many pairs of tweezers and these are great to add to my makeup bag.

Now onto the tool that interested me most. I was very intrigued (and slightly scared) off the 'facial epilator'. It looked a lil daunting to use but with the help of the picture on the back of the box, I gave it my best shot.
You hold the ends of the spring, bend it into an upside down U shape and twist it clockwise and anti-clockwise.
As you can see above, the spring has caught some of the hairs. I would say it does takes a little getting use to but it doesn't hurt as much as I thought it would although it does feel a little strange. You can hear the little snaps from the hair being removed which is quite satisfying and slightly addictive. I concentrated on my 'moustache' area and my cheeks. I instantly saw a difference and especially when I applied foundation the next day, I noticed it applied a lot smoother.
I will continue to use these two products as I think they are a great way to remove unwanted facial hair without the messiness of creams and waxes. A staple in my hair removal kit!

You can purchase the Hair She Goes Removal Kit here and it's currently on sale for £14.99*.

Have you tried a hair removal spring?
