Haul | Garnier, Batiste, Gillette, Revlon & Maxfactor

Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo - £1.94 | Garnier Ultimate Blends Conditioner - £1.94 | Garnier Ultimate Blends 1 Minute Treatment - £2.99 | Batiste Floral Essences - £2.99 | Venus Spa Breeze Shave Bars - £10.49 | Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm In Elusive - £7.99 | Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm In Demure | Maxfactor Colour Elixir In Pink Princess - £4.99

You know when you go shopping for one thing and come out with a bagful, that happened to me. I originally went into Boots, for dry shampoo and came out with this lot.
The Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo, Conditioner and the 1 minute treatment were 1/2 price and as I needed a new shampoo and conditioner I decided to try these. Garnier have brought out a new range of hair products for different hair types but I decided on the range for dry, frizzy hair. I can't wait to use these as they smell amazing and hopefully they do wonders for my hair.
Another haircare product I picked up is my beloved Batiste dry shampoo. I always have at least two cans of these on the go. I decided to pick a different fragrance and went for the floral essences scent which smells amazing and the can itself is very pretty and will look cute sitting on my dressing tables.

A boring buy but definitely an essential for this time of year, Gillette razor blades. These in my opinion are quite pricey but they work well. I prefer these ones as they already have the gel bars with the razor, so you don't need a separate shaving gel.
Now onto the good part, the makeup goodies. I'm a sucker for lip products I think these are my weakness (along with blushes). So seeing as the Revlon products were on BOGOHP I couldn't say no. The first two are part of the Revlon colorburst collection. Demure is a lacquer balm and is a lovely nude shade with a slight bit of shimmer whereas Elusive is more of a nudey pink and is a matte balm, which looks amazing on the lips.
The last product I purchased is a lip liner by Maxfactor. My first ever lip liner, I feel like a beauty blogger now ;). I would describe Pink Princess as a 'your lips but better' colour. I can see myself using this a lot when applying my lipsticks for a better finish.

What have you been buying recently?

Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cleanser*

"Eucerin is the dermatologist-recommended skin care brand based on honest skin science. It sustains and restores healthy skin and gives you the confidence of a healthy radiant skin".

What They Say | Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cleanser is a daily-use, soap-free and fragrance-free formula for gentle, yet effective, cleaning for oily and blemish-prone skin. Containing 6% Ampho-tensides, it eliminates excess sebum (seborrhea) while removing dirt and make-up. Its anti-bacterial properties help rid the skin of bacteria and, as it is non-comedogenic, it will not clog pores.
What I Say | When browsing the skincare isle in Boots, like you do, I noticed this brand Eucerin. I hadn't heard of them before, so I gave their products a quick look but being in a rush I didn't pick anything up. Then a couple of weeks later, an email landed in my inbox asking if I would like to review their DermoPURIFYER Cleanser*, which I found spookily weird. I prefer taking my makeup off using a cleanser and water as I find it cleans my skin the best, so of course I said yes.
The product itself is a clear gel like consistency and it slightly lathers up when mixed with water. I wet my face and apply about a 50 pence size and gently massage it into my skin and then rinse with warm water.
When I remove my makeup, I like to be able to remove my eye makeup at the same time. Unfortunately this product says to avoid contact with eyes, which means I have to use a separate product. That aside, the cleanser left my face feeling squeaky clean and refreshed but it also left my skin feeling very dry. I noticed that it had also slightly reduced any redness/acne scarring I had previously had.
I'm not too sure if I would purchase this myself but it was a nice product to try and I'm pleased that it reduced some of my acne scarring.
They were also very kind to throw in a selection of mini samples for me to try, which was very generous of them. The samples ranged from suncreams to foot creams! I can't wait to see what their other products are like.
Where To Buy | Boots
Price | £9.50 200ml
Rating | 7/10

Metcalfe Skinny Topcorn | #TopcornTribe

I think it's safe to say, I currently have a slight obsession with Sweet and Salty popcorn. I went crazy on buying the bags from Tesco's own range for something silly like £1 a bag and having a bag at least once a week, whoops! But when browsing the popcorn aisle one day, I noticed the brand Metcalfe and their range of Skinny TopCorns. What instantly drew me to them was that the Sweet and Salty popcorn was only 115 calories per bag. I decided to pick up and bag and give it a try. It was love at first crunch.

I don't know about you, but when I find something new I love, I end up following all of their social media sites and platforms. It was when I was browsing their Instagram page, I noticed the hashtag #TopcornTribe. I was intrigued, so I gave it a click. Wow, people were getting sent boxes of the different popcorns from Metcalfe and being asked to review them. I wanted to know more and how I could be a part of this amazing collaboration.

I went onto their Facebook page and saw that you could apply to be part of their #TopcornTribe, I was very excited. Every week, they chose one lucky person to join their exclusive tribe. After applying for a good couple of months, I was lucky enough to be chosen a couple of weeks ago and I actually let out a little squeal with excitement.
I received my box full of 6 different popcorns to try. Inside was 2 x Sweet and Salty, 2 x White Cheese and 1 x Sweet Cinnamon Spice and 1 x Sargent Salt.

Of course I was very happy with the Sweet and Salty bags as I have tried them before. They have the right amount of sweetness and saltiness, just perfect. I took some to work with me in a little tupperware pot and it was great to have as a mid morning snack.
The next one I tried was the Sweet Cinnamon Spice. This had such a lovely flavour to it. I love anything Cinnamon and I certainly munched through this bag pretty quickly.
I shared the Sargent Salt popcorn with my mum and she absolutely loved it. She said it wasn't too salty or too husky. Those little annoying pieces that get stuck in your teeth were nowhere to be seen!
The last one I tried is part of their newest topcorn, White Cheese. Now I am still undecided on this flavour. It's hard to described, it's sort of a salty cheese flavour. Unfortunately not one of my favourites. I am definitely a sweet kind of popcorn person.

If you would like to be considered to be part of the #TopcornTribe, you can apply here.

My Top 5 Summer Nail Varnishes

L-R | Models Own Hyper Gel In White Light | Models Own Hyper Gel In Lilac Sheen | Barry M Gelly Hi Shine In Dragon Fruit | Essie Mint Candy Apple |

Models Own Hyper Gel In White Light | I was never really a fan of white nails as I thought it just looked like someone had painted them with tipex. But after seeing swatches of the Hypergel nails in White Light, I knew I had to try it. White Light is such a lovely shade of white (if that's even possible), it looks amazing with a tan and as it's classed as a 'gel' polish it looks very glossy on the nails.

Models Own Hyper Gel In Lilac Sheen | I love pastel shades like this Lilac as I think they look very flattering on the nails and they are very easy to wear. This only needed two coats to make it stand out but subtle at the same time.

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine In Dragon Fruit | I'm a sucker for pink nails and this one doesn't disappoint. I would describe this pink as a barbie pink, my favourite type of pink. As this nail varnish is from the Hi Shine range, it looks very shiny when applied, which I really like.

Essie Mint Candy Apple | This was such a popular shade a few years back in the blogging world and I have had it sitting in my collection since. It's a shade that normally sits in my draw but after seeing someones Instagram post with this on their nails I knew I had to dig it out. It's such a nice minty green which again, looks amazing with a tan.

Angelica In Apricot | This is one of my newest nail varnishes in my collection and it's such a pretty shade. It's more on the coral side rather than it's name, Apricot. I love wearing this shade on my toes as I think it looks gorgeous with sandals! (Is that weird?)

What are your favourite nail varnish shades for Summer?

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara & Giveaway

What They Say | "The Better Than Sex Mascara Hourglass-Shaped Brush was designed after discovering the bust-waist-hip ratio of an iconic silver screen Blonde Bombshell held the secret to the perfect brush silhouette that separates, coats and curls each lash to voluptuous perfection. One coat of the carbon black, collagen-fueled mascara formula and lashes are full, defined and stretched to unbelievable lengths. Two coats and lashes are even more luscious, curled and dramatic. Three coats and achieve the most intense black, oversized, multidimensional lashes possible! A mascara so's Better Than Sex!"
What I Say | I received this mascara in the BBB Dream Box from Latest In Beauty. I had heard amazing reviews about it, so I couldn't wait to try it. It comes packaged in a cute little pink and gold shiny box along with things it's claimed to do. The tube itself is a shiny pink tube with the words 'Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara' embossed on it.
As you can see from the picture, the brush is shaped like an hourglass and the bristles are longer at the ends than they are in the middle. The brush itself feels like it is hugging your lashes, separating, curling and extending them at the same time. The bristles also carry a lot of product, which makes this great for quickly building volume and length.
I found the application was really easy and you can instantly see the difference from the first touch. The curl lasted all day and the mascara didn't flake or smudge which gets a big thumbs up from me.
Overall I am really impressed with this mascara and can see myself repurchasing it in the future.
Price | £19.00
Where To Buy | Debenhams
Rating | 9/10

I am giving one of my lovely readers the chance to win their own mascara so you can decide for yourself, if it is really "Better Than Sex" ;). Fill in the Rafflecopter below for your chance to win :)

June Favourites

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara | I received this mascara in the Latest In Beauty BBB Dream Box. I really like this as it makes my eyelashes look very long and fluttery. Keep your eyes peeled for a full review and a chance to win your own Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

Benefit Coralista Blush | This is my all time favourite Benefit blush. It is the perfect coral colour with a slight shimmer. It leaves your cheeks with a rosy glow and highlights those cheek bones perfectly. I have had this for a good couple of years now and have only just hit pan!

L'Oreal Mythic Oil | I received this hair oil at Christmas after owning lots of little samples of it. It is such a nice haircare product to use when your hair is damp and you are left with soft smooth hair. As you can see from the bottle, a little goes a long way.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+] | This is one of those products I have heard many mixed reviews about but I knew I had to make my own decision on it. I'm very happy that I ended up buying it as it's working wonders on my skin. It is reducing the appearance of any acne scarring I have along with redness.

MAC MSF In By Candlelight | I love highlighters in the Summer as I think they can really make your cheekbones glow. This one has been my favourite for the month of June as it adds just the right amount of shimmer without leaving you looking like a disco ball.

What were you loving in June?

The Body Shop Sale | Body Butter Bargains

Just a quick post from me today about the amazing deal on body butters I picked up from The Body Shop sale.
I was running out of my favourite Cocoa body butter, so I knew the sale would be the perfect time to pick up another. This time I wanted to try a different scent, so when I saw an array of different coloured tubs I found it hard to choose.
After browsing for a short time, I saw these lovely cellophane wrapped set of body butters priced at an amazing £20. I couldn't believe it. I liked each of the scents, that was already pre-wrapped apart from one, I think it was a sparkly Gingerbread scent?
I asked the sales assistant if they had any sets without that one, there wasn't but she was very helpful and put together my own selection.
So what scents did I choose? I picked up an Almond, Passionfruit, Blueberry, Chocomania and two Papaya's.
I think I'm going to start with one of the papayas as the scent is very fruity and perfect for this time of year.
We can all safely say, I won't need to buy any body butters anytime soon!
I'm not too sure when the sale ends but get online or down to a store near you asap to pick up some amazing bargains!
This is such an amazing buy for yourself or even as a gift. Another great thing is that you can separate these and use them as individual gifts. Perfect!

Have you bought anything in The Body Shop sale?
