Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I never jumped on the Bioderma bandwagon and I have to be honest, I never knew what 'Micellar Water' was before blogging. But after reading blog posts upon blog posts and watching Youtube videos, I found out Micellar Water is basically a clean solution that removes your makeup pretty quickly and easily. I'm quite happy with my current makeup remover (N07 Hot Cloth Cleanser) but after reading many reviews of various cleansing waters, I thought it was about time I tried one to see what the fuss was about.
When I saw the new Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water in my local Boots, I thought this would be the one I would try.
What They Say - "A super efficient and gentle way to cleanse, remove makeup, soothe the feel of skin and hydrate in just one step – it’s not magic, it’s Garnier Micellar!
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water contains micelles which act like magnets, gently lifting away makeup and impurities from the skin, without the need to rub or rinse. The result?
Beautifully cleansed and refreshed feeling skin in an instant. The formula is suitable for the face, eye area and lips, has no perfume and comes in a generous 400ml size.
Apply the product to a cotton pad and wipe your face, eye area and lips. No rinsing required."
I really like the design of this bottle. As you can see, it is clear and the bottle itself is squeezable. I prefer clear bottles as you can see exactly how much of the product is left. Plus it has a pink cap, easily pleased I know. The bottle holds 400ml of product which Garnier estimates at around 200 uses, which to me seems pretty good. We shall see how long it lasts!
When applying this product, I squeeze a generous amount to a large cotton wool pad and sweep it gently over my face. I find it removes the majority of my face makeup but when it comes to removing my eye makeup, I use two separate pads for each eye. It even works on stubborn eye makeup and waterproof mascara.
My face feels clean and refreshed afterwards but I still use a face wash after to remove any remaining traces of makeup, as I feel this works best for me.
I'm going to continue to use my ever faithful N07 Hot Cloth Cleanser but will use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water when I'm feeling lazy or need to take my makeup off quickly.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water retails at £4.99 and can be purchased here.

Do you use a Micellar Cleansing Water/Solution?

  1. I bought this but haven't got round to using it yet as I'm still finishing off my trusty L'Oreal Micellar Water.

  7. I only very recently started using a mini bottle of bioderma that I've had for ages as a means of stepping up my skincare routine which consisted pretty much of wipes (bad, I know). I won't be able to afford to keep using Bioderma even though its amazing, so I've been looking into buying this. You do get quite a bit for the price. I am easily attracted by pink too. I like the fact its an all rounder : eyes lips and face. Great review :)

I'm one for that too-I have heaps and heaps of photos I've taken that I need to blog about. I've had my eye on this for ages and I might soon just have to give in and buy it- even though I don't need any more cheek products. The rave reviews are just too convincing :)

  8. This really looks like a copy of the most raved Bioderma.
I am using Bioderma at the moment and it is really the best make-up remover ever tried before but this sounds interesting and probably cheaper than Bioderma's one.
