Bourjois | Healthy Balance Face Powder

"A unifying powder that evens out and boosts the radiance of your complexion whilst taking care of your skin.
With Asian fruit therapy formula to restore balance to the skin: the Sharon fruit smoothes and moisturises dry areas, whilst Yuzu fruit absorbs excess shine. Its ultra fine, blendable texture provides a light and undetectable finish on skin".

I needed a new powder as my beloved MAC MSF had seen better days. I knew I wasn't going to a MAC counter for a while, so I needed something to use before I did. As a big lover of the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, I decided to pick up the Bourjois Healthy Balance face powder. This powder comes in four shades and I picked the lightest, 52 Vanilla.
First I'm going to talk about the packaging. It's small, lightweight and it also has a decent sized mirror which is perfect for when you want to touch up on the go.
The powder itself is very finely milled and is soft to the touch. When applying , I swirled my brush into the product and there was quite a bit of fall out which means wastage. I gently swept the powder over my skin, concentrating on my T zone. I would say this powder is buildable, so if you fancy a slightly heavier coverage, you can achieve it with this powder. I do however find that it does cling to any dry patches you may have.
It claims to give you a healthy glow and a matte finish for 10 hours. I would say it gives my skin a nice glow but it definitely doesn't last for 10 hours, more like 3.

I do like this powder and will continue to use it but I don't think it has replaced my favourite MAC MSF.

The Bourjois Healthy Balance Face Powder costs £8.99 and it can be purchased here.

  1. ^ word.
I stick to my Stay Matte powder. Cheap and keeps my shine under control.
    Great review though :)

  2. Sounds like a nice powder and enjoyed reading the review, but because I have dry and dehydrated skin, I think I'd have to stay away from this.

  3. Hmm a bit of a mixed review! It's a shame it doesn't last very long and clings to dry patches :/
It's a cheaper alternative until you get your MAC though :)
