The Goodies I Won From Prairie Charms

Just after Christmas, I was very lucky to win a giveaway held by the lovely people at Prairie Charms.
"Prairie Charms are a completely handmade accessories boutique specialising in all things girly, floral, quirky and whimsical."
I received the goodies this week and thought I would share with you what I got. The parcel came packaged well and everything was wrapped in pink tissue paper, flowery tape and bubble wrap! (I was just too excited to open the package so didn't take a photo)
In total I received nine items which is amazing. The first item I unwrapped was the chocolates. You can't go wrong with chocolate and as soon as I took this photo I scoffed them down.
I am a big lover of Soap & Glory products, so I was very happy when I saw two products from them in the package. I love the smell of the Mist You Madly body spray and was actually going to repurchase it but now I don't need too! The Flake Away scrub is also another fave product of mine.

I also received two Barry M nail varnishes and luckily they are two I don't currently own. They are both glittery and gorgeous. They are in SNP1 and Rose Quartz.
I was happy to see there was a Maybelline Baby Lips in there and especially as it's in the shade Cherry Me, as it's one of my favourites. It adds such a lovely cherry colour to the lips.
Last but not least, I received three handmade bows for my hair. These are such a nice little touch. I love the different shade and materials, especially the sparkly ones. They feel well made and will look gorgeous in the hair!

I want to say thank you to Prairie Charms for holding the giveaway and of course picking me! :) If you would like to take a look at Prairie Charms to see what they have to offer, I have linked their social media platforms below.

Haul | L'Oreal, Bourjois & Rimmel

L'Oreal True Match Foundation in Golden Ivory - £9.99 | I've heard good things about this foundation and seen quite a few people use it on Youtube and their skin looks amazing. So in the hope of amazing looking skin, I decided to pick it up. The colour range wasn't that brilliant but I picked it up in shade Golden Ivory, so I'm hoping it matches my skin. But as it claims it should match my skin, colour and texture.
After looking online they do do a range of shades but it seams like my local boots didn't stock the entire colour selection. This is a bit annoying but we'll see how I get on. I'll let you know my thoughts.

Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder in 52 Vanilla - £8.99 | I am slowly running out of my beloved MAC MSF in Medium and I don't know when I can get to a MAC counter to repurchase it. So instead I decided to pick up the Bourjois Healthy Balance powder. I love the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, so I'm expecting good things from this powder.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 101 - £5.49 currently on offer for £3.99 | This is another range of products I have heard good things about and seeing as it was on offer, I decided to pick one up. 101 is a gorgeous pink shade which is very wearable and looks lovely on the lips. I've just realised I forgot to take the lid of the lipstick so you can see what shade it is! Silly me! I'll post a link here once I have reviewed it :)

Rimmel Scandaleyes Precision Micro Eyeliner in Black - £5.49 currently on offer for £3.99 | I'm not too sure why I picked this up as I don't actually wear liquid eyeliner but I guess because it was on offer it just drew me in. This eyeliner is like a felt tip pen and looks easy to use, so who knows I may start to wear it.

Makeup Products I'm Currently Lusting After

After last nights #bbloggers chat, I found myself jotting down quite a few makeup items onto my wishlist, so I thought I would share with you what I'm currently lusting after.

1. Chanel Le Volume Mascara - £24 | I received a sample of this mascara a couple of months ago and have just finished using it. I really liked it. It left my eyelashes looking full of volume and separated.

2. NARS Laguna - £26 | This is one of those products that I have heard so many raves about and I'd love to have it in my makeup collection.

3. Tom Ford Lipstick in Spanish Pink - £36 | After seeing the gorgeous Liza post her 'Valentines Day Romantic Makeup Look' with this gorgeous lipstick, I knew I had to add it to my wishlist. It's such a gorgeous shade!

4. Origins GinZing - £23 | I own a few skincare products from Origins and I am in love with them. This is another product I have heard raves about and would love to try it out.

5. MAC 15 Eyeshadow Palette & Insert - £14 & £6.50 | I have two MAC eye shadows in pan form and would love to be able to finally put them into a palette (after a year). I really like the look of the 15 palette with the inserts.

6. Benefit Rockateur Blush - £23.50 | I already own a couple of the Benefit blushes and this one just looks gorgeous. This looks such a gorgeous shade for the Summer.

What's on your wishlist?

My New Perfume | Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

At the weekend I went on a hunt for a new perfume and after lots of sniffing, spraying perfume onto the sample cards and sneezing, I fell in love with one. Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb. I love fruity, sweet and slightly floral scents and this one fits the bill perfectly.
Flowerbomb is quite expensive at £65 for 50ml but luckily I had a £20 Debenhams voucher from Christmas. Also, if you spent £40 or more in the beauty or fragrance section, you got an extra 500 bonus points to go on your Debenhams card.
The lovely sales assistant was very kind and threw in 5 samples of Flowerbomb (one not pictured as it's already in my handbag!) and when I opened the perfume packaging there was another sample, but this time it was for men, Spicebomb. The boyfriend soon nabbed this out of my hands! So this made me feel less guilty about spending that much!

When you open the packaging, you are greeted with the gorgeous bottle. It's such a lovely design and I think it will also look super cute sitting on my dressing table.
As for the scent, I'm really rubbish at describing perfumes, so here is a little snippet from the Debenhams website - "Prepare for a floral explosion - a mood-lifting, positive profusion of flowers. Simply spritz on to skin & Flowerbomb's magically evocative perfume notes will awaken the deepest senses - giving anyone who wears it the impression of living life in their secret garden, a world away from reality. Escapism, in a bottle...."
It really is a gorgeous scent and I would definitely recommend you go and give it a sniff if you haven't all ready.

Do you own Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb?

January Sales Shopping

Morning girlies. I hope you're all well? Last week, I went sales shopping. With Christmas and everything, I haven't actually shopped for myself for a good couple of months, so it was nice to do a bit of retail therapy.
I was looking forward to hitting the shops to see what bargains I could pick up but I was left a little disappointed. I felt the sales weren't that great but saying that I did however pick up a few bargains of things I had my eye on before Christmas.
No7 The Skincare collection - £16 £8 | I saw this N07 skincare collection before Christmas and was going to purchase it myself. I'm glad I didn't now as I picked it up half price. I love the Hot cloth Cleanser as it's the only thing I'll use to remove my makeup. All these bottles are the perfect size for travelling or sampling and I can't wait to try them out.

Garnier Moisture Match - £5.99 BOGOF | I needed a new moisturiser and noticed the current one I'm using, which is the Garnier Moisture Match for dry skin, was on buy one get one free. I decided to pick it up along with the moisturiser for dull skin. You can see my review of the moisturiser for dry skin here.
Lush I want Candy - £7.95 £3.97 | When I walked into Lush, they hardly had any of their gift sets left which wasn't surprising as they are very popular, especially when they are half price. I did however pick up two. I'm really pleased I picked this gift set up as it contains two of my favourite Lush products - Candy Mountain and Rockstar soap.

Lush Mr Frosty - £12.50 £6.25 | This gift set contains Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds bubble bar, Big Blue and Cinders. I haven't tried any of these products before, so it will be interesting to see what they are like.
The Body Shop goody bag worth £59 - £20 | This bag is such an amazing deal. You get seven of The Body Shops best selling products for an amazing £20. Inside you get a Strawberry Shower Gel, Vitamin E Gentle Facial Wash, Hemp Hand Protector, Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel, Vitamin E Moisture Cream, Coconut Lip Butter and a Cocoa Butter Body Butter.
I've wanted to try their Vitamin E range for a while now, so I'm glad I've got two of their products to try. I've heard amazing reviews about the Hemp Hand Protector and as my hands are a little worse for wear at the moment, I hope it does wonders to them. Also I absolutely love their body and lip butters and together these cost around £18, so your basically getting everything else for free!
Yankee Candles - £8.39 £6.72 | I picked both of these up from Clinton Cards. All their Yankee Candles had 20% off. My boyfriends mum was burning the Black Cherry candle over Christmas and I fell in love with it. I'm also currently obsessed with anything Sweet and Salted, so the Salted Caramel candle was right up my street. Both of these candles smell amazing and I can't wait to burn them

What did you pick up in the sales?

Joules | Umbrella & Fluffy Socks*

The lovely Laura who is currently working with Joules, kindly got in contact with me at the start of December, asking if I would like to review one of their umbrellas.
I have to be honest, I only own one item from Joules, which is a bright pink body warmer which I actually bought in the sales about a year or so ago, so I was intrigued to see what other products they had to offer and said yes.
I was allowed to pick an umbrella of my choice from the Joules website. They had eight brollies to choose from but this one caught my eye! It's called the Walker Brolly and came in two colour choices. I picked the Yellow and Pink.
What They Say - "If you’re going to be strolling along when there’s a chance of a shower, this is the brolly to pick up. The double canopy will provide extra protection if the clouds really burst.
The umbrella came packaged in a gorgeous yellow floral plastic bag and was very well packaged inside, with the use of bubble wrap.
The Walker brolly has a gorgeous bird and floral print, and I think the colours really compliment each other. On the handle there is a cute little rabbit which is the Joules logo and also on the popper, to wrap the brolly up, it is engraved with the word Joules. I love little finishing touches like these.
When taking the photos for this post, it was on and off rain, windy and sunny. The umbrella felt very sturdy in the wind and as it has a double canopy, I don't think I'll have the embarrassment of it blowing inside out. As for keeping me dry, it served its purpose and I will definitely be using this when the heavens open! (It also worked well at keeping the sun out of my eyes!)
This Umbrella just oozes quality and I'm very impressed with it. Is it bad that I want it to rain, just so I can use it?!

The Yellow Walker brolly costs £29.95 and you can find it here.
(I also have my eye on this Umbrella, which is the perfect size to keep in your handbag. Oh and it's currently in the sale too!)
They also sent me a pair of their fluffy socks to review. You can't beat woolly socks in the Winter and these are just perfect. They are super soft and keep my feet lovely and warm. These are ideal to wear with welly boots because they come all the way up your leg, just below your knee which means they keep your legs warm, as well as your tootsies!
These retail for £8.95*. I can't find the exact socks online but here's what they have to offer.

Do you own anything by Joules?

It's All About...

...Pastel Pink.

1. River Island Pink Coat - £70 | 2. Missguided Dusky Pink Shift Dress - £19.99 | 3. Missguided Cross Over Jumpsuit - £27.99 | 4. Topshop Pink Skort - £40 | 5. Topshop Fluffy Coat - £89 | 6. Miss Selfridge Pink Jacket - £39 | 7. New Look Boxy Top - £12.99 | 8. New Look Knitted Jumper - £19.99 | 9. River Island Skater Dress - £30

Being a typical girlie girl, I love pink and can definitely see myself rocking the pastel Pink trend for Spring/Summer 2014! I am in love with number 1. I was hoping this coat was going to go into the sale after Christmas but it hasn't. I can't quite justify spending £70 on a coat at the moment but it is a beaut. I'm also loving number 3 and think this would look great with a tan in the Summer!

Do you like the pastel Pink trend?

14 Things For 2014!

If I'm honest I feel like 2013 has just flown by and I don't feel like I actually accomplished/done much. But I'm hoping 2014 will be different! I have a few exciting things in mind for my blog and hopefully you'll like them too. I also have some personal things that I'm hoping to change and make a difference in myself.
So, as it's the 1st of January, I've made a list of 14 goals and resolutions for myself for 2014.

1. Blog more | Ideally I would like to post 3 times a week. I know this is sometimes easier said then done but I really do want to try and stick to it.

2. Moisturise my body | This is a bit of a random one I know but I have many body lotions and potions but don't use them as often as I should, so I'm going to try and moisturise everyday! I moisturise my face everyday so why should the rest of my body suffer.

3. Buy a new car | I've had my little Corsa ever since I passed my driving test (5 years ago) and even though it'll be sad to say goodbye to it, I'm on the lookout for a new car. I have my eye on a MINI convertible.

4. Find a new job | I'm not happy in my job at the moment and would like a change in career. Hopefully this will be the year I find something I enjoy.

5. Be active | Whether it's walking our new puppy or walking into town, I want to be more active and hopefully begin to live a healthier lifestyle.

6. Reach 1000 followers  | I know it's not all about followers but it would be amazing to reach the big one thousand. Whether it's on bloglovin or GFC, I'd be one happy bunny!

7. Travel more | Whether it's in the UK or abroad, I want to visit different places and explore the world.

8. Attend a bloggers event | This is something I wanted to do last year but as the majority of the events were in London (I live in Suffolk) it was quite hard to attend them. I'm hoping there are events local to me this year, in which I can attend.

9.  My style | If I'm honest, I'm not too sure how I would describe my style. I guess you could say 'I play it safe' but this year I want to change up my style, not completely as I still want to feel like me but I want to change up my outfits and try new things.

10. Start posting OOTDs | This one follows on from number 9. I rarely post outfits on my blog as I don't feel my outfits are anything special but hopefully this year I will change that. Ideally I would like to post at least one outfit a month.

11. Print photos | I love taking photos but I never seem to do anything with them. I really want to buy some nice frames and photo albums and get my photos printed. There's nothing more I enjoy than looking through photos as they hold so many memories.

12. Worry less | I want to live for the moment, take it day by day and not worry about what might happen in the future.

13. Stop biting my nails | Now this is something that has always been a resolution of mine but I'm hoping one year I will finally stop biting my nails. Lets hope it's this year!

14. Start a Youtube channel | This could be the year in which I finally bite the bullet and start a Youtube channel. It's quite a scary thought but hopefully I will have the confidence to just go for it.

Bring it on!
I'd love to know if you have made any resolutions for 2014!
