Just A Little Update...

Hey everyone, just a quick post from me tonight. I thought I would update you on whats been happening recently. I started a new job last week which so far it's very full on but very interesting at the same time. One thing that comes with the job is training, I had to spend a night away last week and this week I have to spend three nights away.
So with all this excitement and Christmas only around the corner, I feel I won't have time to sit down and blog. As you can see I haven't managed blogmas which is a shame as I did have some lovely posts planned.

I think I'm going to take a back seat for a while and will probably blog again in the new year. This way, I will have a chance to settle into my job, get my head around the training and hopefully get into a routine to fit blogging in with work.
If you're wondering what my job is, I will be working in a photography studio and I'm training to become a photographer. So hopefully, I can put into practice what I've learnt and make my photos on my blog better in the new year.

A big thankyou to all my followers, new or old. Thankyou for following my blog through 2014 and for the lovely feedback/comments you leave.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and I will see you in the new year! :)

On The 12th Day Of Blogmas | Bella And Bear Brush On You*

I was recently sent this adorable hair brush and comb set called Brush On You* from Bella and Bear. Bella and Bear products always comes in the most gorgeous of packaging and have the prettiest of designs.
Inside you get a brush which can be used on wet hair and a comb that can be used on wet or dry hair.
I love the mint colour and floral design on these products. The design on the brush actually matches my bedding.
What They Say - "The "brush on you" set has the best detangling brush and comb for wet or dry hair, it works great on thick hair, curly hair, normal hair, fine hair, any hair types really. Its great for kids and adults alike, as easy to use as a comb but so much more effective"
I don't normally brush my hair when it's wet as that's when hair is prone to damage a lot more than normal, but I decided to use the brush as instructed, after I had washed it and towel dried it. When using the brush, I did find it wasn't the softest of brushes to use as the bristles did feel like they were pulling my hair slightly and it didn't glide as nice as I had hoped. But I did feel it worked better on dry hair and removed the tangles easier.

Every month or so I like to use an intensive hair treatment, so this is when I usually use the comb as I think it really helps the conditioner be evenly spread. Doing this once a month, it leaves my hair feeling amazing. I enjoyed using the comb more than the brush and will continue to use it when doing my monthly hair treatment.

You can purchase the Brush On You set here and it's currently on sale for £14.99*.

On The 10th Day Of Blogmas | November Favourites

Essie Toggle To The Top Nail Varnish | This is such a perfect sparkly red nail varnish for this time of year. I love wearing glitter during the Christmas period and this one ticks all the right boxes. I like wearing this on my ring finger as an accent nail but when I'm feeling brave I wear it on all my nails.

MUA Wild Berry Lipstick | You know me, I love my berry lips at the moment and this one from MUA is amazing. It's classed as a matte shade but it does have a slight glossy finish to it. Wild berry is buildable and looks so nice on. And guess what, it's only £1! Even better! I will be doing a full review of this plus another shade in the collection soon.

Mio double Buff | This stuff is amazing. If I'm honest, I haven't heard of the brand Mio but I received this in the most recent Latest In Beauty BBB Dream box and I'm so glad I did. I fell in love with it on first use. It's a body scrub which you apply before getting in the shower, on dry skin and once you've rinsed it off you are left with super smooth skin.

Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser| I'm obsessed with buying body moisturisers but never jumped on the band waggon when this was released. But when I saw it on offer in boots last month, I decided to pick it up. It's such an easy way to apply moisturiser and it's mess free. All you do is spray where you want it, rub it in and you're good to go. It dries so quickly and doesn't leave you feeling sticky. I picked up the scent Cocoa and it smells divine.

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel | This is the first bottle I have tried of this but wow, I don't know why I didn't pick it up sooner. Although it's quite pricey, it's such a lovely shower gel and it leaves my skin slightly scented which I love. Oh and it's pink and sparkly....even better!

What were you loving in November?

On The 9th Day Of Blogmas | Review - Lush The Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar

What They Say | "Pop in The Christmas Penguin for a mood-boosting bubble bath that will set you up for the festivities. The beautiful blend of orange flower absolute, Sicilian mandarin and lemon oils will revive and refresh your mind and skin. Crumble under running water to create bubbly glaciers and snow drifts".
What I Say | My penguin seems to have three eyes but he still looks cute nonetheless. This lil fella turned the bath a lovely greeny blue and filled the room with a lovely orangey scent. A very christmassy scent in fact.
The bubbles felt lovely and soft, like always and left my skin feeling silky smooth.
I feel I always say the same things in the reviews, but if i'm honest, that's how I honestly feel about these products. I'm yet to try something from Lush which I don't like!
Where To Buy | Lush
Price | £3.25
Rating | 9/10

On The 7th Day Of Blogmas | My Christmas Wishlist

1. Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - £37 | I already own the first and second naked palettes and have debated whether to get the third for a while now. But after swatching it in my local Debenhams, I knew I had to add it to my list.

2. Real Techniques Nic's Picks - £20 | I love Real Techniques brushes and really want to add these to my collection. I'm particularly loving the look of the cheek brush. They are currently on offer for £20 in Superdrug, so I feel these are a real bargain.

3. MAC Eyeshdow Pan Form - £10 | Last Christmas (queue singing) I received a MAC 15 eyeshadow palette which can be filled yourself. I really like the look off All That Glitters, Vanilla and Cranberry and think they are all wearable and would be much loved in my palette.

4. Benefit Rockateur - £23.50 | I'm a big lover of the Benefit box blushes and currently own four. Rockateur is such a lovely dusky cool toned rose gold, that has a slight shimmer and would look so pretty on the cheekbones.

5. Pink Tangle Teezer - £8.25 | I use to have a tangle teezer a year or so ago and loved it but had to sadly throw it away as the brushes weren't doing their job anymore. I never got round to replacing it. I think it's time I got a new one.

6. Lady And The Tramp DVD - £7 | You can't go wrong with Disney dvds at Christmas and I currently don't have this one in my collection. I love Lady and The Tramp and also the special sleeves Disney are currently doing on their dvds look gorgeous.

7. GHD Rose Gold V Styler - £130 | How gorgeous are these ghds? Back when I was 14, I received my first pair of ghds and they were amazing and lasted 7 years. They were perfect for straightening and curling, but after those 7 years, they were getting a bit tatty looking. ever since I haven't found a curling tool as good as those ghds! I need them back in my life!

8. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Gift Set - £34.50 | I love receiving perfume at Christmas and this scent has to be one of my favourites! It's such a lovely sweet and fruity scent, which you can wear everyday. I also like that it comes with a little handbag sized perfume.

9. Lush Christmas Candy Box - £14.95 | Who doesn't love receiving Lush at Christmas? I think Lush do such gorgeous gift sets and I have my eye on this one. It's pink and girlie and the scents are based on Snow Fairy which is sooo nice!

10. Magnitone Lucid Facial Brush (Travel Size) - £49.99 | I've seen these 'facial brushes' a lot in the blogging world and was never really bothered about trying one. But it wasn't until recently I was inspired to try one. This is the limited edition version from Pixie Lott.

What's on your Christmas wishlist this year?

On The 6th Day Of Blogmas | Christmas With So...?*

Back in November I received my first Christmas present of the year, crazy huh! I received this cute little gift set from the lovely people at So...?.
The So...? Sexy gift set contains So...? Sexy Eau de Toilette 50ml and So...? Sexy Body Lotion 100ml.
What They Say - "So...? Sexy begins with ultra-feminine top notes of mandarin and blackcurrant, leads into an aromatic heart of rose and jasmine, which blend deliciously with a creamy base of sandalwood and musk".
I really like the scent of So...? Sexy. You can definitely smell the blackcurrant and musk which I love! I would say it's more of a grown up scent compared to some of their other perfumes but still wearable for all ages.
I really like receiving a body lotion with the same scent as the perfume because I like to layer the scents as I feel it makes the perfume last longer.
I think this would make the perfect gift for a teenager or someone who is just starting to wear perfume.

They also sell a wide variety of different gift sets featuring their other perfumes. They also sell mini gift sets which I think would be perfect as stocking fillers.
So...? Sexy gift set retails at £9.99* and can be viewed here along with their full range of gift sets.

On The 5th Day Of Blogmas | Review - The Book Of Everyone*

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely people at 'The Book Of Everyone' asking if I would be interested in creating my own book. I took a look at the website and loved the idea of this little book, so I said yes. I decided to create a book for my boyfriend Liam for Christmas, so I'm hoping he doesn't take a peek at my blog.

"The Book of Everyone is the perfect gift for someone you love. This one of a kind gift is a book full of stunning artwork, glorious personalised facts and fun statistics. The Book of Everyone can be made in minutes, customised, previewed right away, printed and dispatched to you in under one week!"
The website was very easy to navigate around and the book itself was also very easy to create. I followed the step by step guide, page by page and was able to change the wording, add my own quotes and photos to some of the pages which I loved as it made it personal to Liam.
I started off adding Liam's name and birth date and you'll see why through the book. Next I chose a colour scheme for the front page and I went with grey and light blue.
Now you're ready to get creative and personalise the other pages.
"The Book of Everyone also offers the option for you to add personal touches of photos and quotes along the way, ensuring that the gift is truly unique. Unlike any other gift on the market each person that receives the book gets an ant named in his or her honour, from The Book of Everyone’s ant farm where they are said to perform a special naming ceremony with honey and water!"
This page was originally full of quotes but I decided to keep the one quote in the middle and add photos of us two around the edges.
Throughout the book it has fun facts, quotes and pictures of things that were around during Liams year of birth. This page is a picture of a transformer which was the must have toy for 1987.
Also through the book, regarding the year was things like the blockbuster movie of that year, hit tv show, number one hit and how much things cost 'back in Liam's day'.
Other pages include Liam's Chinese zodiac, starsign and star constellation and name in British sign language.
I really enjoyed creating this book and feel that this is the perfect gift for someone who has everything or for someone you're really struggling to buy for.

"This Christmas the wonderful people at The Book of Everyone have teamed up with the charity Age UK and with every book you buy it goes towards the “gifting” of a book for an elderly person who may not receive a gift. Helping to bring a smile to an elderly person’s face this Christmas (a time which can be lonely for some) because after all amazing people deserve an amazing gift".

The Book of Everyone is a nostalgic, beautifully designed 50 page book that offers options that are affordable for all budgets from, Digital £7.50, Paperback £19.50*, Hardback £29.50 and Deluxe £49.50.

Review | BlanX White Shock Teeth Whitening Kit & Giveaway*

When I was a teenager, I had to wear braces for just over two years. Ever since I have had them removed, I haven't been 100% happy with the whiteness of my teeth. Personally, I think I have relatively white teeth but I do have a few little stains in between which I would like removed. I have tried many teeth whitening products along with the infamous crest whitening strips and found they worked but I still wasn't happy.
So when BlanX got in contact asking if I would like to review their White Shock range, I couldn't turn them down.
I received their complete White Shock range which included a toothpaste, mouthwash, whitening pen and whitening treatment.
I have been using these products together for 2 weeks and thought I would share my results with you.
About BlanX White Shock Products - "From the BlanX laboratories comes BlanX White Shock, the new range of products with a revolutionary patented formula with Actilux®,the active ingredient that uses the power of light to whiten teeth.
This new formula whitens teeth in a completely natural way and is effective from the very first time it's used.
The level of tooth abrasion is very low because it does not contain peroxides, optical whiteners or abrasive silica that can irritate and destroy the enamel.
But it doesn't just whiten, thanks to its ingredients, Actilux® helps maintain your gums healthy and hydrated, removing the bacteria that cause plaque and cavities".

BlanX White Shock Gel Pen - £10*
The White Shock Gel Pen is there to be used on the go. So you can throw it in your handbag and touch up your teeth when you're out and about.
To get the product out of the tube you twist the bottom and it pushes the product to the sponge like applicator making it easy to apply to your teeth.
The instructions say this should be done just twice a day for the best results so I chose to use this product once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
I'm not too sure how I would describe the flavour of this product but I wasn 't too keen on it. I feel it would be more suitable if it had a mint flavour to it.
I do feel that this product didn't really work for me but I will keep it in my handbag for when I feel my teeth need a bit of a touch up.

BlanX White Tooth Paste 50ml & LED - £7.50*
The BlanX White Shock toothpaste is not like any other toothpaste, it comes with a little blue LED light, which you unscrew the lid of and attach it to the tube. This then becomes your cap, so there's no need to keep putting it on and taking it off. The screw top lid on the LED acts a bit like a switch to turn the light on and off. When pressure is applied to the little button it turns off but once loosened, the light turns on.
The blue LED works to accelerate the whitening power of the Actilux. When the toothpaste passes through the light as you squeeze it onto your toothbrush, the formula is activated so it is ready to start working as soon as it hits your teeth and will continue to work throughout the day, when natural light hits it.
I'm really enjoying using this toothpaste. It's lovely and minty and it left my teeth feeling really clean. Oh and it also passed my tongue swipe test...we all do it don't we?

BlanX White Shock LED Bite - £15.99*
The White Shock LED Bite is essentially the same as the toothpaste light but in a gum shield type product.
First you brush your teeth with the toothpaste provided and then before putting the bite into your mouth, spread a layer of product with your finger onto the transparent support. Place the shield into your mouth for as long as desired. The maximum time is 10 minutes and when the time is up, the light will go off and it will beep to let you know that that is the end of the treatment. I think this is a great feature to have as it stops you fussing around with timers.
This treatment can be used daily 2-3 times a day and it comes with a colour chart so you can see if your teeth have changed and become whiter.

BlanX White Shock Mouthwash - £5.99*
I never use to use mouthwash up until about 6 months ago and to be honest, I never thought to pick up a whitening one, so I was intrigued to see how this one worked. I brushed my teeth like normal and then rinsed my mouth with the mouthwash. It was a lovely blue colour and tastes lovely and minty. My teeth were left feeling clean and I was left with lovely fresh breath. I really enjoy using this product and will continue to use it in my teeth brushing routine.

Overall I am really impressed with BlanX White Shock range. All the products were very easy to use and I do feel like they have made a difference to the whiteness of my teeth. My teeth didn't experience any sensitivity which I guess is because the products don't contain any peroxides, optical whiteners or abrasive silica.

BlanX have recently worked with celebrity makeup artist, Cassie Lomas, to create some great makeup tutorials on how to enhance your smile, including a beautiful Christmas party look that’s really simple and easy to recreate. It is such a beautiful look, I love the eye makeup!

You can purchase BlanX White Shock range from Boots, Superdrug, ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose. (BlanX White Shock products are currently on offer at Boots)

Review | Lush Butterbear Bath Bomb

What They Say | "Cocoa butter creates a creamy soft bath that is great for nourishing and protecting your skin, with the same vanilla-like fragrance as Butterball bath bomb. Moulded into a friendly and sweet-smelling bear, this is sure to be a winner with little and big kids alike!"
What I Say | As soon as I got this lil fella out of the bag, I could smell the sweet vanilla scent.
When popped in the bath, it fizzed away and the room instantly filled with an amazing aroma of vanilla and cocoa butter.
It didn't colour the water but what it did do was it made it super soft. I guess it was because of the little brown bits which are small bits of cocoa butter!
I also found that soaking in this lovely bath, it made shaving my legs so much easier. The razor glided over my legs with ease and my legs were left feeling so smooth!
I'm definitely planning on buying another one or two of these as I think it is so nice and it's so affordable too.

Autumn Primark Haul

L-R Navy Cardigan - £9 | Grey Jumper - £8 | Dark Grey High Neck Jumper - £5 | Raccoon Jumper - £10 | Grey Top - £6 | Navy Top - £6 | White Fluffy Jumper - £10

(Ohhhh my, I must of been having a blonde moment when I was taking these photos as I usually put them on hangers, and then take the photos so you can see the clothes better....whoops!!)
As you can see I picked up a range of what I would call essentials for this time of year. I picked up a selection of nice and cosy jumpers along with a cardigan and tops. You can't go wrong with basics as they are perfect for layering and can be worn with anything.
I won't go into too much detail about the clothes, but they are all long sleeved, apart from the fluffy jumper which is three quarters, they all feel super soft and are perfect for this time of year.

Scarf - £5 | Plaited Headband - £2

I've been on the hunt for a Tartan scarf for a while now and when I spotted this one in Primark for only a fiver, I knew I had to have it. I would says it's quite oversized, which I love. It keeps me nice and warm and it's ever so soft which is perfect as I can't stand scratchy scarves.
Then I picked up this plaited headband. I really like wearing these when my hair's up as I usually rely on my hair, when it's down, to keep my ears warm...ha!

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know I love statement necklaces and always seem to head to Primark when I'm on the hunt for new ones.
I picked up two statement necklaces and what a bargain they were. I love how a big chunky necklace can instantly jazz up a plain top and make an outfit that bit more special.
When I saw these set of two and three necklaces, I knew I had to put them in my basket. I love the looks you can create when you wear them at different lengths by layering but also think they are perfect to wear on their own, if you want to wear something a little less obvious.
I also picked up a pair of statement earrings to wear for the festive season. At only £1 you can't go wrong with a bit of bling, but unfortunately you can't tell how blingy they are in the photo.

Have you shopped at Primark lately?

Latest In Beauty | The BBB Dream Box 2

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you would know by now that I am a big fan of Latest In Beauty. If you don't know, Latest in beauty (or LIB for short) sell a range of "beauty boxes designed to accommodate your needs, whatever the circumstances".
The latest box to cause a stir in the blogging world is the second installment of the Dream Box, The Dream Box II again put together by the ever so lovely The Brit Beauty Blog.
If you are interested in seeing what was in the first box you can view that here.
The box cost me £21.95 with free postage. Overall all the products total to a value of £129+ which is just amazeballs. (yes I used the word amazeballs!)
Some of the products in the box have different shade variations but I was extremely happy with the colours I received. Let's see what was in the box...

Once again, I am blown away at how many gorgeous products are in this box. I said the last box I received was my favourite, but now I think this box has to be the best beauty box I have received!
The products I'm most excited to try are the Ardell Natural Style Demi Wispies, The Body Shop Beautifying Oil and the Mio Double Buff.
Expect plenty of reviews of these products as I can't wait to use them and let you know how I get on.

Review | Benefit - Hello Flawless Foundation In 'Believe In Me' Ivory

What They Say | "'s flawless time! Our new oil-free brightening liquid foundation builds from light to medium coverage for a natural complexion you can believe in. It's you...just more luminous & healthy looking."
What I Say | The Hello Flawless Foundation comes in 9 shades and I got matched up to the shade 'Believe In My Ivory which I think is one of the lightest shades.
I would say it's a light to medium coverage as it didn't cover all my blemishes. So if your skin is anything like mine, you may need to add a touch of concealer on those problem areas, which I tend to do with most foundations anyways.
The formulation of the foundation is very creamy and applies really nicely onto the skin but does feel a little watery. It has an SPF 20 which is why I think this foundation would be perfect to wear in the Summer as I dislike heavy foundations (in the summer) which make you feel like they are melting off your face.
I normally apply my foundation with a brush but with this one in particular, I apply it with my fingers, which leaves my skin looking quite natural with a dewy finish.
I really like the packaging and love the fact that it's a pump bottle. You can see exactly how much product is left and as it's a pump you can determine exactly how much you use.
Overall the Hello Flawless foundation is a really nice foundation if you are looking for a light, dewy day time finish with an SPF.
(I did try taking a picture of this when it was on my face but my camera didn't pick it up very well, so you'll have to make do with a swatch on my hand, sorry!)

Makeup Revolution | Disappear Till Tomorrow Eyeshadow Palette & Giveaway

Makeup Revolution are a company I hadn't heard of at the time, but now I see their name appearing left, right and centre in the blogging world and after using this product, I can see why.
I received this palette a good 6 months ago in the Latest In Beauty BBB Dream box and have already hit pan on a couple of the colours!
The Disappear Till Tomorrow Eyeshadow Palette contains sixteen shades, two of which (the bottom two) can be used to fill in your eyebrows.
The palette has a selection of neutral shades with a couple being matte but the majority having a slight shimmer. I use this palette both in the day and night time and think it's such an affordable palette if you are starting out with eyeshadow or you just love a neutral shade or two.
Some of the shimmery shades do have a bit of fallout but hey for a mere £4, you can't complain.
Also, what's to complain about when I am offering one of my lovely readers the chance to win your very own!

For your chance to win your own Disappear Till Tomorrow Eyeshadow Palette, just fill out the rafflecopter form below.

Good Luck!
