Boots Buys | John Freida, Batiste, St Ives And More

I originally popped into town to pick up some holiday bits but of course came back with everything but! I would love to know what you take on holiday with you! Feel free to leave a comment below letting me know or a link to a post you may have done on your holiday essentials!
Batiste Tropical 400ml - £3.99 | I needed a new can of my beloved Batiste dry shampoo and seeing as the whole Batiste range had £1 off, I thought I would pick up the biggest can. This should last me a while!
Batiste Light & Blonde 200ml - £2.99 | I have never tried this one before, so decided to pick up a bottle of this as well. It smells gorgeous and is a yellowish shade which blends well with my hair colour.
Schwarzkopf Beach Matt Salt Spray - £4.07 | I originally had my eye on the Bumble and Bumble salt spray for my holiday, but I wasn't sure about paying £10 for something that might not work on my hair. So whilst in Boots I can across this one. I haven't heard much about this salt spray but can't wait to try it out on holiday.
John Frieda Go Blonder Shampoo and Conditioner - £5.99 each | I bought the shampoo and conditioner for holiday. I know you are probably thinking that there are big bottles to take with me, but I find when I'm abroad I wash my hair a lot more then when at home. I also use a lot more conditioner as the sun and salt water dry it out.
John Frieda Sheer Blonde Conditioning Treatment - £5.99 | I have used this already and it is amazing! It leaves my hair feeling very soft and nourished. I will be doing a full review on this product soon.
I bought these three products on 3 for 2 so received one of these items for free! :)
St Ives Blemish Fighting Apricot Scrub - £4.29 | This is one of my favourite facial scrubs of all time. I have used this product since I was at high school and I always repurchase it. I bought the big tube and I will be decanting some into a little pot to take on holiday with me.
Oilatum Natural Repair Face Cream - £7.65 | Ever since Pixiwoo's Nic mentioned and raved about this moisturiser a good year or two ago, I knew I had to have it. This is another product I have been repurchasing and is my everyday face cream.

Looking back, I did buy a few things for my holiday but looks like I will have to head back into town to buy the rest! :)
If you would like a review on any of the products mentioned above, please let me know in the comments below!

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Range

When I was in Debenhams at the beginning of the month, I visited the Elizabeth Arden counter and was about to purchase the Eight Hour Cream, as it was in the sale for only £20.58 or something like that?! But I didn't, I walked away empty handed. Luckily I did because when I popped into TK Maxx, I stumbled across the Eight Hour gift set which contained the Original Eight Hour Cream, Intensive Body Treatment, Hand Treatment, Face Cream and the Face Sun Cream all for a bargain of £19.99. I knew I had to have it straight away!

Popbands | Milkshake

I hope you are all enjoying this gorgeous weather we are currently having here in the UK, we can safely say it's officially Summer...finally!
Today I want to share with you something I discovered the other week. This post is going to be about hairbands but these are much more than just hairbands, these are Popbands! I came across a blog post someone had tweeted and had a read and was intrigued, so I clicked onto the website and ended up purchasing some.
What They Say - "Kind on your hair, cute on your wrist. Popbands are delicious soft, stretchy 'no dent' hairbands that hold hair up tight and still leave it fresh and kink-free when you take it down!"
Popbands won’t:
• dent/kink your hair
• rip your hair
• flirt with your man

Popbands will:
• look and feel great in your hair and on your wrist
• be gentle with your hair and give it a little cuddle
• stay in place and make you wear your hair up more
I picked the multi pack in the shades called Milkshake as I was instantly drawn to the pastel shades.
"Hit the dance floor and do the milkshake ladies, the cutest selection of pastel colours that actually make you let your hair down even when it's uptight and funky... How amazingly cute?! We love the milkshake baby!
Inspired by: milkshakes, pastel bikinis, colouring pencils and...er...hello...more milkshakes!Wear me: on long lazy sunny days around the pool bar sipping fruity cocktails with your pet chameleon Dave"
I don't know about you but I always seem to have a hair band around my wrist whether my hair is tied up or not. (I actually have one on my wrist as I'm typing this!) I tend to use just plain blondish hairbands or black ones. I have to say they don't look that 'cute' in the hair or around the wrist but with Popbands they look super cute with both. They kind of remind me of the bands you get if you have been to a festival or something :).
These have been very handy for this hot weather as I can scrunch all my hair up and it feels comfortable and the Popbands don't leave any dents in the hair for when I want to take it down in the evenings! :)
Popbands start from as little as £4 and come in a variety of colours. They also come as a single band, in 2's or in multi packs of 5. Some of them even have a cute little bead on which I am eyeing up! :)

Have you heard or tried Popbands before?

Things I'm Currently Loving - #2

1. Cuba | My boyfriend and I are heading off to Cuba for 2 weeks in August. As it's the first time I'll be going there I am constantly looking at images of the place we're staying and finding out what we can do there.

2. In preparation for holiday, I'm trying to tone up. I keep finding myself searching on Instagram for inspiration pictures to keep me motivated! :)

3. I am loving fruit whether it be a whole piece of fruit or a fruit smoothie, I just love it! There's nothing better then sitting in the sunshine eating a delicious fruit salad!

4. Every time I go on holiday, the first thing I always seem to buy is a new bikini. I don't know why but I love hunting for new bikinis!

June Favourites

MAC By Candlelight MSF | Since the sun has decided to show it's beautiful face, I have rummaged through my makeup collection and pulled out this gorgeous highlighter. I absolutely love this one by MAC. It gives the perfect golden glow to my skin and a little definitely goes a long way. I use this on my cheeks and on my eyes :)

Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara | I haven't used Seventeen products since I was in high school but when I had a voucher from Boots for this mascara at only £2, I thought I would give it a try. It has my favourite type of wand, a plastic wand. I find these wands give the best results to my lashes. Doll'd Up gives me full lashes, it lengthens them and keeps them lifted all day. I really liked this mascara and think I will repurchase it.

Nivea Lip Butter in Caramel Cream | First things first, this smells good enough to eat! As soon as you open the tin you get the smell of Caramel, mmm just pure yumminess! It leaves my lips feeling super smooth and is the perfect base to use just before applying lipstick.

Bourjois Cream Blush in 03 Rose Tender | I love cream blushes in the summer as I feel they give you a dewy finish to your cheeks. This shade is perfect for my skin tone and it leaves me with a gorgeous flush of pink. I'm definitely considering picking up the other shades in the collection.

HASK Argan Oil | This little beauty is from Primark. I bought it a little while ago but only just got around to using it. I apply a little amount on to the ends of my hair after towel drying it. It leaves my hair feeling smooth and looking shiny. I have noticed the condition of my hair improve since using this. It only cost me £2.50 I think, so it's well worth picking one up.

What are you favourites for the month of June?

Jacava London | A/W '13 Nail Varnish Competition

Jacava London are a brand which is classed as '8 free' which means their nail varnish doesn't contain Formaldehyde, Camphor, Toluene, DBP, Collophane, Phthalates or Animal Ingredients (Lots of big words, huh!) What I have noticed is that they don't have that over powering smell of nail varnish and they leave my nails feeling strong. They also don't test on animals!
I currently own 6 nail varnishes by them and I love them. They have a lovely range of colours and when applied on the nails they are super glossy.
They don't come cheap at £14.50 a bottle but the lovely people from Jacava have got in contact with me, giving you the chance to win the entire collection from their A/W range. Keep on reading below to find out more.
(This is my latest Jacava nail varnish in the shade Chillax*. It is a gorgeous blue with shimmer. It reminds me of the sea and mermaids!)

Jacava have tweeted a selection of 3 names for a shade of purple polish and their followers on Twitter have the chance to retweet their favourite name. The chosen name will be revealed in late August and a random winner will be selected from those who retweeted the name to be used. This winner will win one bottle of each shade of the new JACAVA AW13 collection and the very first bottle produced with the winning name will be included in this, all of which will be pre-release.

Sounds good right? Here are the tweets to be retweeted below. You can retweet all three to have more of a  chance of winning.

Haul | Primark, Boots, Debenhams & Lush

Goodbye June and Hello July! Where is the time going?
At the weekend I decided to start my holiday shopping. Only 52 days until I go to Cuba hehe!
I have to say I was slightly disappointed, I didn't really find much I like. I kind of feel that the shops are starting to get rid of there Summer clothes and are thinking about Autumn. It may be a case of online shopping. I usually see lots of bikinis I like in Primark for example, but all was left were tatty mismatch ones. Maybe I have left it to late? Where do you buy your holiday clothes from?
Anyways, I did however pick up a few things and thought I would share them with you this evening....
From Debenhams I picked up CK One for only £15. I walked over to the sale section and a girl had just sprayed this and it smelt amazing. I asked her which one it was and it was this one. I'm rubbish at describing scents but it smells very fresh.
The next place I went to was Boots. I knew exactly what I wanted, so I'm quite impressed that I walked away with exactly what I went in for. Piz Buin sun cream was on offer at half price, so I knew I had to buy it there and then for holiday. Sun Cream - £6.24, Wet Skin - £8.99.
I also bought a Boots own nail varnish remover as the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish remover has completely dried up. This was only £1.25.
Next is the Nivea Lip Butter in Caramel Cream. I have seen these appear over a few blogs and I really wanted to try it. The sweet tooth in me knew that I had to pick up the Caramel one. It smells gorgeous and leaves my lips feeling lovely and soft. £2.25
From Primark, I picked up this hat for only £4. I have wanted one like this for a while now and think it will be perfect for when I'm on holiday!
I also picked up these 'plastic' sandals. I'm not too keen on the bumble bee on them but seeing as they were reduced to only £3, I thought I would get them. I mainly bought them to wear in the sea on holiday. I don't tend to wear shoes in the water, but in Cuba there is apparently coral just as you step into the sea. So hopefully these will protect my feet :).
Also from Primark I picked up this gorgeous midi skirt for £8. I was instantly drawn to the pattern and colours, pink and orange are my fave! The skirt is quite fitted and has a split which comes roughly up to the knee area.
Next up are these patterned trousers. They are a thin-ish material which I expect to be quite cooling and I think they will be perfect to wear for the flight to Cuba. The flight is 9 hours long, so I will need something comfortable. These were a steal at only £9.
I also picked up these cute little shorts for £4. I'm planning on throwing these over my bikini bottoms when walking to and from the beach or pool! :)
When I was in Debenhams I visited the Elizabeth Arden counter and was about to purchase the Eight Hour Cream, as it was in the sale for only £20.58 or something like that?! A full post on these goodies to follow :).
I haven't visited Lush in a while, but when I do these 3 items normally work their way into my basket. These are my favourite items from Lush and yes, they are all pink! (Oh and of course they all smell amazing!)
Think Pink - £2.50, The Comforter - £4.25, Rockstar Soap - £4.10
From HMV I picked up a couple of DVDs. My DVD collection is looking a bit bleugh at the moment and I was in need of some new ones. I haven't seen either of these films but wanted to watch them both when they came out in the cinema. I think I'm going to watch Bridesmaids first! These were 2 for £10!

What have you bought recently?
